Most helpful merc for pure lightzon?

for this ladder season im starting with a CS/LF zon because i have never made on before. i was wondering what merc is most benifitcial to a light javazon? i want to use an act 2 merc for tank + aura but im not sure which is most helpful, i was thinking either defiance, prayer, or holy freeze. thanks for any input

i'd suggest holy freeze.
That's what i used with lightning java, and i think it's even better if you're starting on ladder, and thus don't have good gear, slowed monsters will help a lot!

I also think Holy Freeze is the better choice (it's what I always use).

Why Holy Freeze over Defiance? In Hell would not a Holy Freeze merc have great difficulty staying alive long enough for the aura to be helpful. If the merc had Defiance instead they would last longer as a tank, plus with the added bonus of adding defense to a Valk (if you go that route).
