Most expensive item?

I posted this question over a year ago and the answer was a Mechanic's Monarch of {something, can't remember what...}. Apparently it was worth around 100 HRs. How has the pricing changed now?

Some notable items I can think of are:

perfect ethereal Rune Master with 1 Zod and 4 40/15 Jewels

perfect Death's Fathom socketed with something ridiculously expensive

Ethereal Tyrael's Might

Some crazy ladder runeword (I'm not too familiar with them, as I can't even afford the base item they're made out of, much less the runes...)

Cracked Sash

You mean a Jeweler's Monarch of Deflection. A JMoD is worth whatever its bearer desires. One might sell for 100 hrs, or maybe more, maybe less. Maybe hrs simply wouldn't be enough.

Rares (and maybe crafted items) with high levels of good stats. Druid pelts, circlets, boots, rings, etc with almost perfects mods in multiple desired categories can go for pretty much whatever someone is willing to pay for them. There are tons of JMoDs out there, but finding an amazing rare that not a single other person on b.net has is much more unique. Some people even buy them just to collect, not to use, like billionaires in the real world.

Cruel Cryptic Sword of Quickness, 3 sockets, 3x 39%ED/15%IAS jewels baby!
I remember those swords being the talk of the town back in the day.
Hundreds upon hundreds of high runes worth of items for a good one.

I would think, though, that a perfect rare could win out, like a socketed rare with 400%ED and other ridiculous mods. Pretty much impossible to find and certainly more rare than Tyrael's Might.

Rares and crafts can reach what ever price you want. for the more "comon" magic itens it would be a JmoD or a Cruel Sward of Quickness.

For uniques i would bet in a P Fathom or a P Griffons (can they be etheral? that would price Fathon up).

People socket JMods with Facets most of the time. Or maybe a combo of facets and gorgeous rare jewels bers.

Check out the rare item show off thread. I haven't been looking at it much but items like this are almost priceless.

edit: yes Fathoms CAN be etheral - I saw some traded last ladder

The perfect assassin claws, crazy rare GT's with fools, 40 ias, 2 socks, great skills, etc/great 3 os GT's with 3 LS or Venom/3 trap, 3 LS claws...those can be veryyyyyyy pricey.

Tyrael's Might can't be ethereal because it has the indestructible mod on it.

The absolute most expensive item around would be certain non-legit items like Bugged-Tals, or 08 Valks. Personally I think these items are worth a El rune.

Truly legit and honest, I would say a Tyrael's Might with a legit 40/15 jewel.

You cant trade for a legit 40/15. Legit means selffound, so when you trade for one, it isnt selffound anymore and therefor isnt legit.

Actually 40/15s are banned from trading here on NL, but I just saw a post of this at the USEast section and it was allowed for ladder (and as such also worth a lot). So if you traded on ladder right now a Tyrael's Might 1os along with a 40/15 on ladder, I would imagine this being the most expensive.

That rare zerker was......awesome!! Something like that would pretty much be priceless.

i though legit meant legit and selffound meant selffound.

You can trade for a legit 40/15 if you know where that jewel came from. But is so rare that yeah.. you cant trade for a legit 40/15

A 6/40 Ghost Glaive is worth quite a lot...

I think there ain't no 'the' expensivest item...there are prolly about 50 items who don't have a price but it will just depend on how much someone is willing to give for it...

Would a Monarch of Deflection, if given 4 sockets through Luzark, be worth a comparable amount? I snagged a Monarch of Deflection in the Pit last night, and was trying to decide if I should socket and trade it.

A magic item has a 50% chance for 1 socket and 50% chance for 2 sockets. So it would be impossible.

Oh that sucks, I thought he always gave max sockets, didn't know that only applied to white/gray items.
