most effective character for a ribcracker?

I think the character that can make most use of a ribcracker would be a shifter druid and a kicksin. would you guys agree, and is there more that are effective using it?

I would say, ask Nightfish, since he seems to try to get ribcracker guardians in every character class (except maybe the amazon).

Ribby is a good weapon for fury werewolf (remember to put Shael in it to reach next IAS breakpoint!). I can't really say anything on other classes, I have used Ribby only on a druid'

edit: I could imagine it is very good on a zerker barb aswell

    Druid: Werewolf (Fury)
Barb: Whirlwind (MM does does work)
Assassin: Tiger Strike / LS / DS Hybrid (30k damage o_O)
Paladin: Fanatic Zeal (wear Darksight Helm)
    Sorceress: Enchantress (wear Darksight Helm)

    Necromancer: Summoning
    Amazon: Tankazon

The first 5 are all decent chars. Personally I had the best time with the assassin and the Sorceress. The last 2 don't really have a good reason to use the weapon but can easily beat the game.

    *tosses $.02 into the pot*

I'd guess Dim Vision for the chars that don't have crowd control melee.

    Nightfish?

    *edit* adjust for inflation

CoS and ctc dim vision, obviously. :) You need something to compensate lack of shield on chars without inherent crowd control. Combined with a gloom armour you get 21% to cast DV when struck which is very nice vs gloams. I usually need one CoS to start big battles and by the time it wears off I have either killed half of the bad guys and don't need another or my mercs delirium triggered confuse.

(the other mods on the helm aren't bad either. CBF and mana leech. :))

2 quick questions. what would you use to release the TS charges with the assassin. and how is it you get 30k damage with this assassin? the LS cant be THAT powerful with only a DS synergy to work with. or am i missing something? :)

Charges released with normal attack. 30k damage is physical damage from fully charged tiger strike, not lightning sentry.

Demon Limb's Enchant plus flat AR from Diamonds in my gear, AR charms or the angelic jewelry. For the char I actually played I used the full disciple set so no angelics. Solved it with diamonds and charms there.

Here's the guide for the sin:

Hmm, I would have expected a Beserker would get some nice damage with Ribcracker as well.

Went through NM with a whirlwind barb (almost, now in A4 at Diablo) and I replaced the Ribcracker with an upped Steeldriver. It turned out to be much better, guess crushing blow doesn't really matter in the early stages.

Nepata, we're talking about an elite ribcracker here. Of course the exceptional isn't that good. And no, CB doesn't do much on p8.

What is the stats on your ribby NF? it was near perf wasnt it?
Anyway, i think an assasin would be very good (very high phys damage and lots of crows control) or the more commonly seen fury dr00d.

    Stupid me

I've also got a doubly upgraded steeldriver, but the level requirement turned out to be 77, so can't use that yet... Stupid me 2
