I actually find the names, like the names of rares, quite nice --- Blizzard actually put some work into the naming and they came up with creative names that also fit the entities they are assigned to.

The names of the bosses remind me of the names and looks of the aliens in Elite (20 year old computer game - with *gasp* VECTOR GRAPHICS).

I'm sorry I didn't read the post, I was laughing too hard at "Puke Eater the Unclean". That one cracks me up everytime. I still get a giggle out of "hung skeletons" too. I will never grow up... :uhhuh:

Pindleskin is a disgusting name. I ran him 120 times with 400mf and he dropped 5 uniques. Unique Kite Shield, Kris, Tomahawk, Tigulated Mail, Ancient Armor. I prefer IDropTC87EverydaySkin.

Does anybody reckon that maybe Blizzard intended for it to seem that the Elite Uniques, Blood Raven, for example, maybe hated the monster, and gave it a crappy name, so that the "heroes" would aim for them instead of the lil minions?

    It is possible...

yeah there are some pretty weird names for rare items too. I once saw a rare wirt's leg!! (didn't know those could be imbued since they were socketed) and it was maned bitter crack. the guy however, had some nice chip gems in it and he was pretty darn good for a lvl 6

Actually not all wirt's legs are socketed, and the non socketed ones can indeed be imbued.

Indeed, there are a few funny names in diablo ^^

My favorite is "Snot Skull" - Don't know if it's the same in English, but in Dutch, snot means "that-thing-that-comes-out-of-your-nose-that-also-looks-a-bit-green-and-slimey"
