Moat Trick, MF Gear, and Mephbot Questions

A few days ago I noticed a bot creating a series of "free" games and thought I could have a little fun by allowing the bot to kill Meph and then PK it and steal the drops. Things didn't go quite as planned, it died without my help 90+% of the time. And even when it did kill Meph, it was quite slow. The bot seems to have gone to private games because the character has been online whenever I've whois'd it, but I haven't seen anymore of the "free" games. In case I ever do see it or another again, how do I protect the bot and help it kill Meph without getting the final kill and be in position to kill it, all at the same time? I had at most 15 seconds in Durance 3, if I was fast, before the bot took the stairs down.

It was a low- or mid-80's Blizzard Sorc wearing your standard MF gear, Shako, Skullders, Lidless, and Occulus. I think it was an Occy because she teleported away when I stuck her with my Wizspike and the helm, armor, and shield matched visually. Does the Occy's teleport only trigger on a physical hit? It didn't appear to use the weapon switch. I stick to Tals for MF, so I have no experience with setups like this. Approximately what kind of damage, CM, and resists can you get and how long to kill Meph? I had a Tals Blizzard Sorc and she flattened him real quick, but I just teleport on his head and blast away. After a few games I took to Staticing Meph to speed things up, the Sorc I was using only had around 285 total cold resist and it took a while before I realized she was standing under a hostile Blizzard, since she didn't take any noticable damage. The bot never died during the teleport through Durance 2, but died in one shot from Meph or quickly went down to Hydras, Meteors, Firewalls, or Fireballs from the Council and Vampires that are in the area. Which brings me to my other question, how successful is a real person at moat-tricking Meph? The bot was completely lousy at it and would either get hit trying to herd Meph or trigger the other monsters in the area.

If a character leaves before it's attacks kill a monster, what MF does the game use? Is it 0, because noboy's there? That would be consistent with the behavior regarding weapon switches and kills.
