MLD Blizz Sorc Skill Layout

I have my gear set. I am wondering about skill placement.

At lvl 42 (That is where i am going for) I will have 54 skills to spend. The skills that I need to help will be.

1 into tele
1 warmth
pre requites: frost nova + telekenesis 2

so I have 50 pts to spend.

I am thinking of the following:

20blizz
20 glacial spike/ice blast or ice bolt
1 ice mastery
9 into ice blast or glacial or ice bolt

is this good? I don't thik I'll need a lot of cold mastery. This is my first mld sorc so I am not too sure which ice bolt/ice blast or glacial spike is more useful in pvp with blizzard.

Iceblast

Whatever's not into cold mastery, iceblast, blizzard into cold bolt. Glacial just increases cold duration for iceblast, secondary skill, and doesnt help your damage. Also inferior damage, and high mana cost on glacial.

blizzard is level 24 though, so you wont be able to put 20 points into that.
Also, cold mastery (dueling in normal? or nm?) at -100 is essentially double damage...

oh right i did not consider skill lvl caps.

so what you're saying is:

as much as i can into:
blizzard
cold mastery
ice blast

rest into ice bolt?

You need to think seriously about how much cold res your opponents will have and what difficulty you'll be dueling in. The aim is to get as many of your opponents as possible down to -100% res without sacrificing too much synergy investement (kinda like Price Is Right... "closest to the actual price without going over"). A Barb with a 3-sapphire shield or a Charger running Resist Cold aura might have 200+ total cold res whereas a 2-handed Fury Druid might not even have max res in normal.

So, figure out what cold res most of your opponents will have after the difficulty penalty, then get Cold Mastery high enough to knock them down to -100%. This may mean simply maxing CM, but I just wanted to make sure you understood the concept.

I will be dueling mainly in NM.

Since this is my first caster MLD I am not too sure what other MLD will wear to counter my blizz. What is a good -resist to aim for.

you need to put as many points as you can (13 including the lvl 30 point?)

looking at my untwinked mf sorc ~lvl60 in nm she has ~50 res all (including 2 anya quests), so to take that down needs -150, which is more than slvl20 i believe

as many as possible into blizz
as many as possible into cold mastery
rest into ice blast

make sure you have a lot of super mana pots cause blizz drains pretty fast at that level, 1 tele + 1 blizz and you'll need to pot
