Mfing is the good old days?

Mfing is the good old days?

I've been playing Diablo 2 for about 5 years now. I've heard all those stories before 1.11 and 1.10. Since I started in 1.11, I want to know how did you long time veterans magic find? There were no synergys, no uber 1337 runewords, mercs were kind of weaker, no torches, no annies etc...

Was it just teleing to Mephisto and hoping for the best? Was the Hell difficulty easier or harder back then?

I'm talking about before the expansion and early years of the expansion.

Cheers :girly:

Chaos runs, bloody runs, meph.

[oldfart] I'd say it was harder back then because there were no overpowered runewords or billions of high runes floating around. Your barb was considered godly if he was using a Fury BB or a cruel of quickniss/evisceration. Those were the days.[/oldfart]

I miss Bloody runs and masses of cow runs.

Baal runs are the dullest!

Windforce was the most expensive item :p

While we didnt have synergies and powerful runewords, the game was easier ( except for the bugs ) :)

Make a sorc, put 20 in frozen orb and 20 in cold mastery and cruise trough the game with one single spell.

Or a tri-elementalist - without synergies, you could max out a fire, cold, and lightning spell. 1.09 meant endless cow runs . . . so easy to get experience . . .

I still remember one of my first trades when I started playing. I traded a stormrider axe for a minotaur axe. I promptly threw it on my zealot and started wacking things. A lot of people just didn't know much about the game back then.

1.09 Pinderuns! My first (and last) windforce!! Waiting in the shadows for Diablo III, the problem is old days are far, very far!
