MF & Summons

Hey all, another one returning to D2+exp while waiting for D3.

Just started playing a necro, one that i've always wanted to 'complete' the game with but never had the patience. One of my first drops was the Gull so i was thinking if it will help my MF even if my summons do all the work.

How is MF calculated anyway?

The MF you wear applies to your summons as well, so for example, if you have 100% MF this means that your summons have 100% MF as well. Mercenaries however have your MF added to their own if the have any. For example if you have 100% MF and merc has 20%, 120% MF is calculated when your merc kills a monster.

On more how MF work, you should read a guide that is somewhere on this forum, but I can't seem to find it.

Search function on this site doesn't work with words with length 1-3.

Your question about summons was already answered here in this thread.

If you want to see the MF guide, just go through the "Community Forum Rules and Links" which contains a lot of links to useful guides and tables - You will find my own MF guide and Darnocs BNet MF guide. Both are good (mine goes deeper into game mechanics).
