MF Sorc = Blizzard vs fireball/meteor vs hell

I wanna make a new Mf Sorc to make some Meph runs in Hell

So far I'm building it around Chromatic Ire Cedar Staff (+3 all skill , +1 to every mastery) and orb + lidless wall.

But I dont know if I want to use a shield with a sorc.

My real problem is :

Pur blizzard sorc rules vs Meph in Hell. PROBLEM : Lord something is minute to cold.

Pure fireball/meteor?


Or Can I make a fireball/f mastery with blizzard+ c. mastery plus synergie

My main skill would be blizard in that case.

What u guys think? Remember, I just wanna find ubber stuff so If I go pure cold forget about Nilhatak temple and if I got pure fire, forgot about pit....

Should I only concentrate on Meph Hell?

Is it true that Meph (even with lvl 76) cannot drop items like GrandFather or exeptionnal Unique stuff?

The blood lords down by mephisto are Cold Immune, but mostly they'll be so far away from you, the wont even notice you're there! I have a blizz MF'er, and she has no problems running Meph on hell. Even when the bloodlords appear (if they does), put on a Dwarf star, and you can tank them!

As far as I know Mephisto has a Treasure class cap at 78, which means he cannot drop stuff from TC 81-87 (GF, tals armor, Gris, Ik armor etc.).

I don't recommend pure anything personally. I hate the helpless feeling aginst immunes.

Check out the guides for Blizzard/FireBall and Blizzard/Firewall in the Sorceress Guide Library stickied above for information on those. My favorite and personal recommendation is Blizzard/Firewall.

Regarding what Mephisto can't drop, I copied you this from the MF guide in the strategy compendium:

Treasure Classes. These are of use to compare to what each monster can't drop. You can see how these work in the D2X economy by noting how much scarcer and more expensive everything above what Meph can drop is, since so many people do Meph runs to gather up their equipment. Many of the best Uniques and Sets are of the following item types. Remember, Hell Meph can't drop any of these.

Armor
Armor 81: Aegis, Conqueror Crown, Kraken Shell (M'avina's Embrace), Mirrored Boots, Spired Helm (Veil of Steel and Ondal's Almighty), Succubae Skull.
Armor 84: Archon Plate, Bone Visage (Trang's Helm), Lacquered Plate (Tal Rasha's Armor), Sky Spirit, Troll Belt (Trang's Belt), Ward (Heaven's Taeback), Zakarum Shield (The Herald of Zakarum is the unique Gilded Shield, not a Zakarum shield, the names are the same, but there is no other connection. Well there's no real blizzard/fireball or firewall guide...

And since Meph can't drop all these items what Can i Do? Make meph run and trade the items I found for the one he can drop If i need them? Or make Nilhatak / pit run ?

well the firewall(ball)/blizz guide seems to have a lack of dammage

I think I'll make meph run in hell and trade my stuff for better if I need. :idea:
