MF places for pure blizz sorc!

I play on bnet so all players x talk is from the number of players in the game

At the moment i have a lvl 82 sorc with maxxed blizz/glacial/ice blast/cold mastery and some points in ice bolt.I also have tele/static/shiver/warmth(no ES)

My equip is:
tal armor,amu,belt
shako
rhyme shield(gonna chance it with spirit when i get anny/torch for str+)
ocy
wts
chances

First of all i accidentally did my meph quest so my meph isn't bugged.
I also killed cow king accidentally

The usual places i go for are (in act order)

Andariel :I can kill quite easy with player one,but i can take it on with more players 8 also. She doesn't drop so good although i am sure i have her bugged.My question here: Is andy worth it?

Ancient tunnels: As far as i understood this is a lvl 85 area and bosses can drop any item in game.So my question here is if i should kill everything in it or just aim for the chest and leave?(i guess option number 1)

Arcane sanctuary: I can kill summoner and also open the chests without dying or having to much trouble.I have 2 question here:
1) I understood that the chests here can be 'special' or 'magic' chests.Am i wrong here or...? SO are they worth it or i should just aim for summoner and go to a new server afterwards?
2) Is arcane in general (key+chests) worth it? (keep in mind i can do it all in about 2-3 mins,most of it due to walking back to wp in city and teleing)

Meph: i don't have him bugged so.....Worth still doing?

Pindleskin: I can easily kill him and he rarely spawns cold immune.My prob is that in about 50-100runes he only droped a 26 gheed and nothing else worth picking.In 1.09 amd 1.10 you would wait a lot until he droped something.IS this still true now?

Cows: I really loved this place.Because i loved it and because it droped good charms.To bad i was stupid...

Sry for this questions and i did read most of the guides here but they aren't that in depth...

Andy, Mephisto, Ancient Tunnels, Pits (if you have a good merc), Countess (if you have a good merc and uses statid field).

The best results will come from andy and mephisto. Andy has nice drop probabilities for unique rings and ammys and mephisto can drop very nice itens. You should only run lvl85 areas if you can kill monsters really fast, you have to kill everyting because any monster can drop any item, the more you kill the more you get.

My blizz sorc runs: Andy, Mephy, Pindle, Summoner, Cows and not so often Ancient Tunnels. Harder to run but doable with the right gear and good merc: Countess, Nihlathak, Travincal and the Pits.

If you can get or already have another character in hell with the baal quest then you can do your mf runs which should perm the game then get wirts leg and have them come make the cow portal for your blizz sorc and then your sorc can kill the cow king every run, he has some good drops every once in a while.

Pindle runs are quick and he rarely drops anything good, but then most bosses rarely drop anything good either. I think he is worth running though because he is so quick to run, that and he did drop me a coa once which I guess was worth the 50,000+ runs i did on him. :crazyeyes:

Guide to leveling your merc:

1. Go to the vendor and buy a new merc... he'll be 1-4 levels below you.
1a. Don't forget to strip any gear you want to keep off the old one before you 'upgrade'

I think I had a couple good names. My Normal one was the best - Azrael. My NM one is named Razan which is decent.

I'm going to take a guess that your merc isn't geared well and list some cheap gear to look/trade for.

Helm: Tal's, Vampgaze or Crown of Thieve's (these all have lifeleech which help's merc's survive)

Armor: Duriel's shell (my favorite cheap armor), another good choice: Shaftstop. There are others I just can't think of them right now.

Weapon: Insight runeword in a 4os Thresher, Colossus Voulge or Cryptic Axe.

A lower damage 4os weapon would do until you got one of the above. My merc was using a Battle Scythe insight in hell early this season until I found him a CV, he couldn't kill well but It helped my sorc a lot.

i have gaze and shaft on it atm. I am still looking for a better weapon. I have an unique ogre axe but he probably can't wear it.... I'll socket it with hels i suppose.

Btw what merc should i get?

Defensive is Holy Freeze.

They come from Nightmare mode only - Normal and Hell give you the defense aura.

Holy freeze plus kelpie snare is vicious.

75% slowed movement total.

And whoever said pindle isn't worth it...
I see more rares and uniques drop from Pindle in two runs than I see dropping in ancient tunnels in a day.

AND he loves to drop runes.
Got myself Dol and Amn and two Ral in an hour.

I withdraw my previous statement.

All of a sudden, after turning level 81 -- drops have improved beyond all reason in the ancient tunnels.

One unique OR set item average per run...
Strange.

Strange frostraven...I am 82 atm and no unique and no set item yet(about 10-20 runs)
