MF paladin?

I saw the guide in sticky: max holy freeze, resist cold, salvation. 10 points in holy shield. It also mentions 20 points in lighting resist but that doesn't show any synergy in skill calculator so it must be a previous update. Is this still a good MF guide?

It can work for a mf pally, but a hammerdin is now the standard build. The 20 lighting resist is for the passive boost you get to help against gloams.

Hammies are not expensive unless you want to throw wealth at them for top gear - with dual Spirits as an option, you can get one up and running without spending a ton. It will just be a while before you're clearing 8 player games with him.

Those, along with stuff like Insight and Lore, make many caster builds effective on a budget - but esp. a Hammerdin, since you can make a lightweight Spirit shield for him. It really doesn't cost too much to get one up to 7-8 +skills and a good cast rate.

Ok I read the guides seems that hammerdin will be better for open spaces... now this variant I mentioned could be slow unless I can get teleport gear albeit viable for meph runs. Hmm unsure what I am going to do

Re: MF paladin?

A non-teleporting Hammerdin can still do Pit runs, or River of Flame... Worldstone/Baal too if lit res is ok (might want to wear Thundergod's Belt for some absorb). Admittedly this type of run is better for finding gems, runes, charms, socketables etc. but it's all sellable.

Standard Hammy build is 20 Hammer, 20 Conc, 20 B. Aim, 20 Vigor, rest into H. Shield, maybe a pt in Redemption if you think you want it... that guide sounds like it may be very old (as in 1.09 patch old) and therefore obsolete.

You are right. It is 1,09. Thank you! avoid me the pain of getting past normal and hitting a wall.
