Mf Necro tips..

    Mf Necro tips..

    I want to make an MF specific Necro, but I am not really sure how.

    What would be the best route? Summon or Bone?

    look at the stickys, fishymancer is what you want I think.

    Best is with a Summoner, as for for how you want to make it....there's different guides in the sticky at top of the forum...or read some of the "mf necro" threads.

    oh good lord. if i could shoot people over the internet, you'd be dead. read the damn stickies. there's guides / bibles / encyclopedias / and many many more sources of valuable information for you.

    Now for starters (because I love helping :))

    Summoner will be a great mf'er with cheap starting gear. So to go EASY on ya...

    max raise warrior
    max skeleton mastery
    max skeleton mages (optional and if you want this, do it last)
    1 clay golem
    1 golem mastery
    1+ summon resistance (or as many needed to get it to at least 6 after +skill items)
    1 Teeth (pre-requisite)
    max corpse explosion
    1 amp damage (main curse)
    1 terror / weaken (pre-req's)
    1+ decrepify (boss curse)
    1+ dim vision (for use on ranged attackers)
    1 confuse / attract (optional)

    strength: enough for items. 95 after items should be max for war travs.
    dex: decide on block or not? if so, add to get max block with a shield with a displayed block of 65+ (rhyme troll nest has good block %, but 110 str req)
    vitality: rest
    energy: 70-100 (depends on your gear)

    gear:
    helm: 3 topaz helm / tarnhelm / shako
    armor: 4 topaz armor / 'wealth' runeword / enigma
    amulet: magic find magical ammy / mara's
    weapon: gull dagger / ali baba / wizardspike (if you need resistances)
    gloves: chance guards
    belt: upgraded goldwrap / tal rahsa's belt (mf / dex)
    boots: war travs / magic mf boots / rare mf boots
    rings: nagel rings
    shield: 'rhyme' runeword, preferred in high block shield if you go for max block.

    merc:
    act2 offensive hired in nightmare difficutly
    'any gear does, shoot for high defense, big dmg, bigger leech, great res.

    faq:
    1. do i max block or not? up to your personal preference. i like it.
    2. do i max mages? up to your personal preference. i don't like it because I find they get in the way of my warriors, which are my main killers. the thing is, you'll have tons of left over skill points, which is why many like this option.
    3. can i run the pits good? yes, take tamoe highland wp in a1 hell, and run back. the road splits, 1 of the ways goes to the pits, the other to the marsh.
