Re: mf bug

Hi there. If I understand what you're looking for (drop bug is a quite wide term you know), then it's probably the eternal quest drop of bosses.

Andariel is apparently bugged, so after you've done Act1Q6 just make sure you go to act2 in the very same game before you save&exit, and she should always give you her quest drop.

Before I continue, just FYI if you didn't knew it already, when doing a quest for killing a specific monster, this monster can have a quest drop related to it, this is the case for all act bosses as it seems. After the quest is completed (as mentioned above this doesn't apply for Andariel) their drops changes to somewhat more regular lower drops.

The quest drops are by far the best, and IIRC you'll always get either unique, rare, set or failed set item from a quest drop, so a way to check if you've got a quest drop is to ID a blue item, and check if the maximum durability is doubled, if that's the case it should be a failed set item.

So to activate quest drops for the other bosses, like mephisto, you should never actually due the quest yourself.

If you, when you create a game, have the quest uncompleted, and if you, when you join a game, where other have completed it, get the message that you cannot complete the quest in this game, then go down to the boss (for example mephisto) and he'll give you a quest drop, yet you don't get the quest. Since you don't get the quest you can repeat this procedure, as long as you simply don't solve the quest yourself and only goes after the target in a game where the quest have been solved.

Now this have some implecations, for instance if you want a mephisto runner that is much more efficient in finding items, you'll probably have to make a sorc, and level her up in nightmare baal runs until she is ready, and then get the durance 2 wp for her.

However! Once she accidently completes the quest (if you're unaware due to being in a hurry or something like that), she can never get a quest drop from that particular boss again. However you can then either let her be one of those less efficient regular meph runners, and then go for diablo in stead of.

IIRC more than 3 players in a game won't give you better drops from bosses, so just look for games with 2 players in them already, then you'll be player nr. 3, and to avoid getting temp banned, it might be worth taking andariel anyway, since she's always bugged if you did as descriped in the beginning of this long and dull post.

Have fun with it :)
