    Merc Gear for a Meteorb

okay I'm a MF Meteorb Sorc. I haven't had any issues with mana regen so I've been looking for my merc to help me out kill CI/FI mobs which seem to give me the most trouble.

    current gear for my merc
Tomb Reaver(3os, but nothing in them yet) 220ED/218%Damage to Undead/60IAS

Levi 1625 Def/16% damage reduction.(will socket, not sure what to add)

    Helm (junk)

looking for a andy helm I guess.

My question is is the tomb reaver a good choice, if so what should go in the sockets for both the armor and weapon.

and which helm would be good?

Depends on your wealth. If you have enough wealth to spare, might as well go with an infinity (just remember you are not using it to break immunes, but to lower resist to -100 and provide massive damage + crushing blow). If you are not so rich, I say obedience. 370ED, 40 CB, and enchant = GG.

Normal tomb reaver isn't really impressive in practice, imo. I'd also say obedience or infinity.

In the mean time, until you get your hands on an Andy helm, put a Tal Mask or a Vamp Gaze on him (low ones cost pgems, and are still darned good).

What kind of polearm should I be looking to get to put in infinity. what are the stats I should be looking for? I'm guessing a Eth +15%ED?

I planning to start a meteorb sorc but before that, I want to know how superior is this build compare to Cl/Orb Sorc?

My current sorc is Cl/Orb type.

Ethereal Superior polearms are goddamn expensive. Besides, those 15% don't do much. Just find an ethereal Thresher or Great Polearm (for the GP, you will have to gamble using the socket recipe, but Thresher gets 5 sockets from Larzuk).

IMO it's superior in terms of damage and flexibility. For example, if you use Tal's set you'll fine with 105 FCR for Meteorb, but will have to put 2 FCR rings to hit 117 for CL/Orb. Those 2 slots you could fill in with Nagels instead.

Infinity requires 4 socket. You must be thinking about obedience.
