Merc for bowie

I presently have a might merc with a pride polearm. I thought the 2 auras together would really add to the firepower and they do. I was thinking though it might be better to go with a holy freeze merc with the pride pole. Has anyone else used a holy freeze merc with their bowazon. Opinions on either setup are appreciated---for a strafer.

You'd loose some firepower, but holy freeze would of course give both your merc and yourself a bit more safety.

However look at these to:
Might merc + doom polearm
Might merc + reapers


For slowing purposes doom can satisfy your wish for HF, and doom has better damage then pride, allowing your merc to life leech better. The skills on the doom will increase his native might aura to btw.

Reapers decrepify must be applied in somewhat slower manner of course, but it works on all targets, even bosses and those pesky frenzytaurs. And -50% physical res will let you do more damage then the bonus from pride does, though of course only when it has cast ...





Personally I'd not advice HF for your bowzon, knockback should be your main means of safety, and be possible to get without sacrificing the damage from pride. If you're in a pinch then a 1 point FA might do the trick to, should only take you 2 skillpoints and give you means to freeze most opponents completely.

Anyone else prefer the might/pride combo--which doesn't surprise me. Are you able to get 3 auras from your merc or is it limited to 2? could i also use thorns or a dream helm?
