I was questing with my summoner and became depressed while i endlessly wandered in the durance of hate. I found the stairs to lvl3 and took it without activating the WP because i couldn't take it anymore. I killed the council member on the right site first, killed Meph (collected loot and soulstone) and then took out the other member on the left site. Then i took the portal leading to act IV and exited the game without talking to anyone.
A couple of hours later when i loaded the game Cain wouldn't give me the usual speech ("The time has come..") while Tyrael gave me the Izual quest normally. So it struck me.
I went back and killed Mephisto again and the magic items he dropped all had double durability (Scythe had 130 or something, a Tiara 50, a qhuab or whatever it's called above 100 etc..). I killed Meph for 4-5 more times with the same results.
Has this happened to anyone else? Will i lose the quest drops if i proceed to destroy the soulstone?
