Mephisto Hell Resists? Darkness and Arreat Summit contradicting each other.

    Mephisto Hell Resists? Darkness and Arreat Summit contradicting each other.

    I was checking out Mephisto's resistances to see how much Cold Mastery would be best for a Blizzard sorc when mainly killing Hell Mephisto, but I found out Darkness and the Summit Area give different results:

    Arreat's Summit: (http://www.battle.net/diablo2exp/monsters/act3-mephisto.shtml)
    Fire - 75%
    Cold - 75%
    Ligh - 75%
    Pois - 75%

    Darkness: (http://darkness.diabloii.net/beastiary/bosses/mephisto/)
    Fire - 50%
    Cold - 25%
    Ligh - 50%
    Pois - 50%

    Does anybody know which one is true? Or maybe both are wrong :lol:.

    Maybe someone can test by getting -125% enemy cold res, kill a few times, check how fast you kill him with cold damage only, and then get -175% cold res and kill again with the same skills, and same amount of players in the game, see if there is any difference. If his res is 75%, having -175% instead of -125% should be 33% faster (doing 200% cold dmg instead of 150%).

    Darkness stats are for 1.09, thus should not be used anymore for 1.10.

    The AS stats are supposed to be for 1.10, but don't have correct values for life/defense/ar/dmg/exp and the others may have typos.

    In this case, the AS is correct for Mephisto's resists.

    If you followed the links, you would have seen this is the resists of which they both say are for Hell.

    Oh, didn't know Darkness has only 1.09 info, good to know :).
    And thanks for telling the meph resists are right :thumbsup: .

    The AS pages are all based on the monstats.txt levels, which means they are wrong unless the monster happens to have the same level in the game as their base level. This isn't very often in 1.10 because most monsters now change their level to match the area (in NM and Hell). However, act bosses don't change their level on any difficulty, so AS is at least right for all of them. They are also correct for normal, aside from possible typos as RTB said.
