Mephista, the ES Sorcie.

Progress with Mephista is steady. She's now level 20 and took down Andariel with no trouble to speak of. Then again, is using a Stick of Fireballs (Leaf in a a+3 Fireball staff) and Venom Ward considered cheating vs. Andariel?
Right now there's little that sets her apart from your average low level sorcie...except for the 9 points into Telekinesis. Only other skill that has more than 1 point is Chain Lightning, which is at 2 to get slvl 5 (for 6 hits) with equipent. I just realized though that I could have saved the point in Static Field...Memory gives a +2 to it...oh well. I use it at times, so I guess it's not entirely wasted.

Her stats look like this at the moment:

Thoughs of the day:
How the hell is she going to survive poison in hell? (Possible answers: 'NOT' and 'By nullifying the non-poison damage needed to deal the last 1 hp damage, thus allowing her to be safely at 1 hp')
How the hell is she going to deal with Magic Maiden (the curse)...if you have around 200 hps, 30-50 unresistable/redirectable damage seems like a problem. A big problem.

From the Less-than-likely-to-live thread. Pretty much a no-vit sorc who will (hopefully) rely on ES to live through things. The general consensus is that it's insane to even consider this kind of build, and since I decided to just go and see, people said they'd be interested in updates...hence the update =)

I assume you mean Blood Mana (the one where casting spells takes away from your life)? My suggestion is: either drink a lot of pots or run very fast and wait for the curse to wear off. Since only Succubi and Baal can make use of this curse it's not like it's something you'll be encountering round every corner, after all!

Aaaannnnn...tidotes?:idea:

Great stuff, but I just read a Melee Sorc guide, which has max Warmth, and it discarded completely the ES/TK stuff, because ES absorbs damage before the resists take action. So it is a very big luck you will need, and a very big belt of potions!

I hope patrch 1.11 comes out soon with a fix for ES, otherwise "lest likely to live" is a appropiate title :teeth:
