Memory vs Processor speed

In the hunt for a new Laptop, and I am technologically not that savvy so lend ur $0.02 :smug:

Should I get more RAM over processor speed?

The combinations within my price range are as follows:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P7450 (2.13GHz)
Memory 8GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)

OR

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor P8700 (2.53GHz) edit
Memory 6GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
