Mel Gibson solves a murder case!

    Hi Y'All,

Quick overview: A guy kills his girlfriend who is 8 months pregnant with their baby. He's a fan of CSI, so he learned enough from TV to hide his involvement in the crime from the local Fort Bend County (my home) detectives, and they write it off as a suicide. Case cleosed.

2 months later: he goes to see "The Passion of the Christ". He starts to worry about his "eternal soul", consults a minister, and then goes to the police and confesses to the (double?) murder.

This guy was clear, he was walking! Case closed, she hung herself.

Then he decided to confess to a double homicide........

Now who can say that Mel's movie didn't have ANY redeeming results?

Even the most strigent detractors will say it has some redeeming features.I just think it could have been accomplished without the gore. All of those movies they made about the bible, like the greatest story ever told and the ten commandments, managed to get the point across beautifully.

    No argument here.....

I've never seen "The Passion" and I don't plan on doing so.

I've seen what humans can do against each other, and it isn't pretty. I was gang-beat by Germans in '82, '83 and '84 for being an American. I did not re-enlist. **** those people.

True, but what he probably wanted to show how much Jesus really suffered. If it wasn't as violent, it might not have had a big effect on people.

I think some needed to see the reality of the torture he was put through(or supposedly put through if you do not believe in Jesus). The other movies got their point across just fine and all, but they downplayed the torment Jesus actually went through in order to save us.

What worries me is he managed to get away with a murder because he watched CSI a lot.

Yeah, I watch The Real Investigators and Forensics all the time on the Discovery Channel and I always thought they told you too much, but CSI?

*Goes out to kill a pig to see if they can catch him*

This pig you're killing, why would they care? Wouldn't it most likely be destined as food anyway?

But yeah, I love cop shows too but somethings are just like "hey, I don't really want everyone knowing that". All cop shows should be set no later than the 30's, that'd keep anyone from beating modern forensics. Actually, that'd make sweet viewing.

edit: *kills self because of atrocious grammar.

My dad was stationed in Germany '79 to '82, and I remember how most fights between Americans and Germans started. Are you African American or Jewish American?

Those must be some pretty damned incompetent detectives to be foiled by someone taking tips from a TV show... and an inaccurate one at that.

Its not very uncommon for people to get away with murder, at least for a very long time, especially when they plan it carefully. CSI is a badass show, but it is kind of a crock.
