    Maximum possible Enchantress

Just wondering what the best gear is that I should aspire to, for pure enchanting ability.

    Helm: +3 fire skill
Armour: Unsure ???Ormus robe with +3 enchant
    Gloves: Magefist
    Belt: Spiderweb sash
Weapon: Unsure ??maybe Eschuta's eldritch orb
    Shield: Unsure
    Ring1: Soj
    Ring2: Soj
    Amulet: +3 fire skill
    Boots: doesn't matter I suppose
Charms: Obviously annihilus and lots of +1 fire skill charms

Help me out on the armour, shield, weap.

    hehehe (evil laugh)

Cleg, I ain't going public on my build, but she's almost to 5,000 max fire damage. Just 3 pieces of gear and she'll hit that and maybe more.

Ive never really played an enchatress, but I think that the runeword leaf in a staff that already has +3 enchant would probably be a decent weapon.

I'll tell you guys the most valuable weapon in the game... well, to people building Enchanters. Find me this and I'll make you rich.

Volcanic ORB (any type) of Whateverness
    +3 Fire Skills
    +3 Enchant
    +3 Fire Mastery

    TWO SOCKETS

You find that, I'll unload so many items on you... well, let's just say, You'll own once I'm done with you.

If ORB means 1h, it can't be done I think. has to be a 2h staff.

    +20/-20 shield
+20/-5 +3 enchant ormus...I'd assume this is better than +2 all, but not 100% sure since the fire mastery hits your damage twice if it's on you.
An orb as described above with +10/-10 (+3 perfect fire eldritch is an ok choice)
The rest as you described...helm is the one I'm unsure on...
I seem to recall something about circlets being able to get more than 1 socket now, if so then a 2 socket +3 fire would be the best, if not I'm not sure if +15/-15 is better than +5/-5 +3 fire or not.

It can spawn, shards/orbs are sorc only, so they will get some +random skill mods on them

For every point my enchant goes up, I get another 180 pts of fire damage. when mastery goes up, well, yikes, totally unfair.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I finally got TWO flipping sockets this time on my Circlet. The difference between 4 and 5% facets is so negligible. I experimented with it and I can assure you, you won't be missing much with 1% less if needed.

But when you're using 9 facets you might notice the difference between 36% and 45%...
And I guess that answers my unsureness on circlets o_O

youhavemail, i dont think he intended to make leaf in it if thats what you meant :) I think we wants to 2x fire facet it.

BTW, conner, whats your enchant up to? (lvl/dmg)

Helm: +3 fire skill circlet socketed with two 5/5 facets
Armour: Ormus robe with +3 enchant, 15% fire with 5/5 facet
    Gloves: Magefist
    Belt: Spiderweb sash
Weapon: +3 fire, +3 enchant, +3 fire mast
Shield: 4 socket shield with 4x 5/5 facets
    Ring1: Soj
    Ring2: Soj
    Amulet: +3 fire skill
Charms: annihilus and 10 fire skillers

Sid-enchantress has an enchant sorc pretty close to this. I believe it gives about 6,000 or so fire damage and lasts over 20 minutes. I ask her to enchant me when i make a new character, so I level really really fast.

While its not the maximum possible, the cheapest good way to boost enchant a decent amount is to shop for 2 socket staffs in act2 normal that have +2 enchant built in. I got one within 30 mins of shopping. With leaf added you get a great enchant staff for very cheap (+5 enchant +3 mastery total). No, its not perfect by any means, but it will get you through until the miracle staff/orb drops.

Furthermore, you really only need a relatively low lvl enchant to boost newb chars. Everything dies in one hit anyway.

Only in hell do you need several thousand fire dmg, and even then its the immunes that cause problems, even with 20,000 fire damage.

I built an enchantress just for boosting chars. She has lvl 28 enchant and 26 mastery. And lots of open slots for more gear (cant seem to find ANY +3 fire stuff).

leaf is the easiest way to make an enchantress, just find the right staff.
with a staff no need for shield, ormus with +3ench is correct for armor

bud of mine has an enchantress with lvl 47 ench/warmth/mastery and it does the trick :)
