Maximum Damage from a Single Source

Does anyone know the maximum damage/hit from any one monster? I would be looking for the max physical damage/hit and also the max magic (fire/cold/light) damage/hit I thought I heard somewhere that Listerz group dealed the highest physical damage/hit at 145. This may have not taken into consideration Bosses however. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Also I imagine that these numbers can be larger with Aura Enchanted packs as well as FE and LE, but I was more interested in the base numbers.

Let me try to guess. Hm… Cursed Extra Strong Fanaticism + Might (from another source) Viper with Charge and critical hit should deal about 5000 damage per hit:
Base max damage 100
Level 20 Fanaticism 373% ED
Level 20 Might 230% ED
Hell Pit Viper level 12 Charge 375% ED
Extra Strong 250% ED
Cursed 2x total damage (for 0% physical resistance targets)
Critical hit (5% chance) 2x total damage

As for the highest elemental damage, I think it is critical hit from explosion of FE+CE Ancients. Yes the bug is fixed, but they still explode.

Also IFAIK the highest base physical damage is owned by Ubers. Mephisto should do around 572 max damage.

hell monsters must be able to do more than base 150 or so, otherwise i wouldnt die in one hit when being glitch rushed (lvl 20, 250 life or so)

What are you doing in Hell level at clvl20 with only 250 life or so? :scratch:

Just curious, but besides the FE/CE Ancients would you have a number for max elemental damage? Maybe the Ubers own this as well.

Most damaging elemental attacks of monsters are spells. Unfortunately the spells are hardcoded deeply into game executables, that I don’t read. I hope RTB will look here and post a few examples. Also look at sticked FAQ for elemental damage of some monsters, that he already has decoded.

However, I may figure Gloams damage since I tested them in-game, it is 200-300 lightning damage per shot of a non-unique Gloam.

Thanks for the info. Now I can at least calculate a relative MDR and DR needed for my Sorc. I will take a look at that Sticky as well.
