Max number of properties on rare item

Heya,

the Arreat Summit tells us that a rare item can have at most 3 magical prefixes and 3 magical suffixes, but this is clearly false, since I have an amulet that has 8 properties. In fact, it has 5 prefixes and 3 suffixes.

This is the amulet:

Beast Torc Amulet
Item Level: 85
Fire Resist +43% (prefix)
Lightning Resist +20% (prefix)
Cold Resist +20% (prefix)
Poison Resist +20% (prefix)
+2 to Summoning Skills (Druid Only) (prefix)
+9 to Minimum Damage (suffix)
Adds 1-6 fire damage (suffix)
5% Life stolen per hit (suffix)

So what is the real truth about these rares?

6 is correct. Your amulet spawned with +20% all resist, and +23% fire resist, the game doesn't write it as:
+20% all resist
+23% fire resist
But writes each resist individually when not every resist is equal.

ar/ed is 1 mod with 2 lines
same with
max/ed and light radius/ar and ar/ed to deamons/undead

So that amulet is actually pretty good. 20% is the max resist all on a rare amulet, although individual resists can go up to 40%.

I have a ring that does 5% resist all, 21% resist lightning and 28% resist fire (69% total). The max would be 11% resist all, 30% resist lightning and 40% resist fire (114% total). That is a good deal more then what I have; so there's room for improvement .
