    Max damage and smite

I read the FAQ and it said that min/max damage doesn't work with smite.

Now, before I go wasting the jems, does that mean that it would be better to socket rubys in my 4 socket armor that the +9 max damage jems for a smiter?

However, I read that enhanced damage modifiers work, so I could put in %ed jewels in the armor and that would affect my smite - right?

thanks for any help - I'm just after clarification.

You are correct on both counts (i.e. min/max and ED%).

However, there is one exception to the min/max rule. The Redeemer (unique Mighty Scepter) has a "Damage +60-120" modifier that apparently boosts Smite damage.

thanks for the info - this character will probably be lvl 18 max, so redemer isn't an option. What sort of charms should I be looking out for at that level?

As you know, poison and elemental damage is not transfered through Smite. We already discussed the +min/max damage. You also don't need AR for Smite. That leaves us with resists, FHR, and Faster r/w.

+Combat GCs, unfortunately, are not available at your clvl.

    D'oh! :teeth:

Actually +str charms will also increase your Smite damage.
