    Max block

Does Dexterity from Items(e.g. raven frost) help max block % go up?

I ask because I saw that it did on the Character screen, but i was still getting hit an awful lot. Thanks.

Yes, and I guess the reason you're still hit a lot is that you're running. If you run, you only have 33% blocking, so if your character is based on a lot of blocking don't run into rooms filled with monsters. My sorc for example never ever runs, she teleports if I have to travel large distances and walks for short ones.

you can check your blocking percentage to see if you are maxed out for the sheild you're using by holding the cursor over your defense points in your character screen. As you add and remove items with +dexterity, you'll see your blocking % change. Then, as Herald stated, try to avoid getting hit while running.
