maul bear advice please

i am going to make a bear and i am going for high life with as much damage as i can get.
skills
20 lyc
20 bear
20 maul
20 how (i think thats the ar/damage one)
1-hunger
1 shock wave
not sure if i should get somthinj else or max one of the above 2 would any of the summons be worth having with the points i have left.

now to his kit
jalas mane shael
coh
highlords amu
ravenfrost
manald heal (need mana leach)
nos coil
gloves (what is best for ias)
gore riders?
now for the controversial bit
last wish, i was planing thunder maul but any other ideas about what to make it in are welcome. (i know everyone is going to tell me its too expencive and not to use it but i love it might huge lifetap its and fade)

spirit/hoto to cast bear /how on switch.
dex/str enough for kit
mana base
vit everything else

if u stick with lastwish id say in phaseblade for the speed, plus a shield, and better resale value
why hoto on switch, why not cta? since u want alot of life, u could also use oak for massive life

i have been playing with the speed calculater and lw sucks for bears. the best that i found was a bots war pike with that i have over 1k damage base 8fpa maul and 6 hunger how does that sound. i will also swap the jalas for a giant skull 9it has 2 15ias/[email protected] i need speed.)
on another note has anyone got a damage figure for a build similar to this

Use a ribby unless you make a EBotD GPA or something >.>.

do you mean ebotd great poleaxe? if yes why is that better than a ebotd war pike

Way better speed and comparable damage and stats. Though Ribby is still better. However, you want damage so...

best mauler weapons:
ebotdz (best used with highlords+bloodfist wIAS)
griss caddy (socketed with 3 ed/15ias jewels + 1 shael)
ribcracker (socketed with shael)

thats all i can think of. maulers dont have many options. theres probably a few other weapons other there that are either really fast but lack damage, or vice versa.

I'm stealing this from Safetypro (his guide for Town Dump Summoning Bear): here's a cheap and effective setup, using the Immortal King set:

Jalals (socke: Um or Shael)
CoH / Duress / Lionheart
IK Maul (sockets: 2 x Shael)
IK Gloves
IK Belt
IK Boots
2 x Raven
Highlords

The IK maul is awesome for a Mauler: socketed with 2 shaels makes it fast, it already has huge weapon damage, and with the other items equipped it gives you 40% CB and decent elemental damage.

I've used this setup twice now, once for a Summoner Bear and once for an Armageddon Bear. Both did fine, and the next variant will be a pure mauler.
