Venom turns daggers green, but it won't override the red of Enchant.

Thanks for pointing that out! I changed the original post.Venom turns daggers green, but it won't override the red of Enchant.

Vengeance doesn't work that way. Only the damage of the weapon is taken into account for conversion, no off weapon ed, fortitude, deadly strike, etc. After the damage conversion, it is then multiplied by elemental masteries ( like enchant and the auras ), however I'm not sure if its multiplied twice ( like enchant/auras ) for melee attack, or just once.I was about to say: so should deadly strike for that matter; work with vengeance, that is. But when I went to double check that I found something saying it doesn't work with vengeance at all unlike say, berserk. Likely something to do with how early in the damage calculations vengeance is applied.
Or rather, more likely to be: that it pulls the phys damage from early in the calculations (before off weapon ED% crit/ds, etc...), but the elemental damage itself is likely applied AFTER deadly strike in the calculations, the same as I've seen it said of berserk.
Thanks, and I am now thinking that I will do a 2 handed avengeress in the future! All of these ideas of ATMA bugged axes have me eager to try it!
