can someone tell me y i took a black berserker axe already socketed with 5 sockets put the correct runes and order to make grief ended up just a gemmed berserker axe

While you are in-game, hit your printscreen button on your keyboard while hovering your cursor over the Berserker Axe. Alt-tab out and browse thru your Diablo2 folders til you find the screen shot you took.

Upload it to a free website like photobucket or something, and then use the link it provides and copy+paste it to a post here. It will be much easier to see what went on if we can get a pic of it

What is a "black berserker axe" and what do you mean by "already socketed with 5 sockets"? I have a feeling you did something wrong because your wording is strange.

You need a non-rare, non-magical Berserker Axe with exactly 5 open sockets. It cannot have 6 sockets. Then you need to place the runes in the correct order: Eth + Tir + Lo + Mal + Ral

By black, I imagine he meant grey. I've seen people use that term to describe anything socketed or ethereal.
