Making new pvp char

Hi ok i did not get much success with my bow ama in pvp cuz i spent most of the time like this;

  • dead
  • runing to my corps
  • nked
  • or townshooting

which is not all that fun so i decided to make another char instead, I have a barb, assa, hammer based char.

So i decided i wanted a char that holds its own well, cant be bmed easily and quite easy to use.

This narrowed me down to a bone nec and windy.

Now i need suggestions which of these can meet my requirements and still own alot. I mean windy beats es sorcs and alot of other casters, but gets eaten alive by trappers and can be beat by bvcs. Necs on the other hand get beat by windys usally and es sorcs however barbs its a 50/50 fight at best although assuming this is pub u can prolly beat most barbs.

Im leaning towards windy but cant make a decision any suggestions.

If you are planning on using curses with a Nec, IM is a ww barb's worst enemy.

I like my windy as he gets minion stack, temporary elemental immunity, and more life with oak sage. But much of this depends on recasting whereas a bone nec can stand there, spam, and tele.

Let me say this, if your comp is slow, do not make a windy, hurricaine lags alot and makes pvp a little more difficult.

Against a bvc I would say windy because of the cold damage plus physical damage plus minion stack to beat the ww. Now you will only be able to take one ww before having to recast, but he will also take damage in that ww.

Even though it is easier for a bone necro to aim, if they get close enough, the hurricaine is autohit but it gets very frustrating casting 5 nados and none of them hitting because the tornadoes are off chasing bugs or trailers or something else other than the 6k dmg hard hitting ww barb in your face.

Haha, you're unlucky. 1 Nado can even hit a barb more than once :shocked:

Windies and bone necs are both sexy. Windies require less gear switching and IMO clear pubs better than necs. I don't like how much sins > druids but windies can still do very well vs. bvcs, don't rule them out. Windies are generally much stronger tanking and damage wise, but they lack range/speed of necros because of lower fhr/fcr etc.

Good necs can't always own windies, nec-walking can be anticipated since it isn't that fast.

Welfare Necro might just work. Tele-smiters are awesome too, if you're concerned with BM'ing barbs and windies.
