making my first high-level hammerdin

So I want to know where to put my last few remaining skill points, but I haven't played with a hammerdin enough to know if i'll be screwing myself over.

What I want is to have a hammerdin that is flexible enough to switch to the aura he needs (salvation, redemption, conviction), and still retain high defense, and max block.

So my question is, will I be screwing myself over if I take 6-8 points away from holy shield and instead invest in high level auras (salvation, redemption, conviction)?

I want a hammerdin that can run any area in the game solo, and can make things significantly easier whenever I play in a party.

However, I still want to be able to survive when I start trekking through WSK in hell mode solo.

Re: making my first high-level hammerdin

well heres an idea of what ur hammerdin should look like skill wise.

blessed hammer-20
concentration-20
blessed aim-20
vigor-20
redemption-1 (optional but highly recommended)
holy shield- rest of skills after all prerequisites

for holy shield make sure when building your paladin that he has at least 5 -10 skills in it before going to hell. max out hammer and concentration equally as u level, then worry about synergies. Conviction and salvation should not even have a skill in it, there is no need for a hammerdin.
Make sure that u have a act 2 offencive mercinary with good equipment. he will save ur life more than one time and helps by slowing down everybody while u anihilate them with ur attack. Hope this helps!
