Making BVB barb need advice.

I'm helping my friend build a bvber. I'm looking for the optimal set up. Price should not be a problem since he already has almost everything. 39 3/20/20s,414 ebotd,eth stone,etc. I'm trying to decide which weapon to use. Should i go for high damage(edc), a balance between damage and ow(botd + duress,gores,dracs,ow belt) or a maxed ow build with either beast or fury zerkers. Also should i use eth stone,duress or some other armor and what about eth arreat? All the barbs i've made so far have been bvall so I'd like to hear some suggestions from experienced and sucessful bvbers.

well, all the choices you've enlisted could be played sucsessfully, but my choice would be high OW/greatest def possible/ebotd ba(maybe fury).
duress should be made in high def(aka eth) armor(light/med/heavy depends on tactics you would use), also i would considered keeping fury in stash for burst of OW on specific oponents(with fury you could go with stone since dracs+fury would make a nice ammount of OW, or duress but rends on gloves box etc.).

plain and simple, i'd use: botd/duress+dracs+gore/OW belt

imo in top lvl BvB OW>dmg, skill(of the mouseholder) overall!!! :xgrin:

btw what realm?

hmm I don't even know the recipe for crafting ow belts. Also isn't it rather hard to get a good one?

well, define hard :xgrin: but look duress+dracs+gore=68% OW, thats also a nice amount, isn't it? more than once in two hits = ok in my book, just get your ar high enough.

I'll second kak's suggestions,you can make any weapon work provided you tune your gear in relation to it.Botd,fury,beast,cleaver,kingslayer-all can work.You dont need 100% ow to kill well in BVB,a balance of dmg & ow,with right charms & tactics works pretty well too.But if you do get 100% ow & massive defense(fury+ethstone)-you become a really tough customer.

Judging from the decent amount of BvB I've done, Beast set-up works the best. Beast (25%ow)+dracs(25%ow)+Gores(10%ow), combined with a high defense armor like eth ark, Stone (eth or not) or eth Carapace. With beast you'll have a huge AR, so you'll hit a lot to make sure you trigger OW. This works better than the high dmg setup, I'd say mainly because BotD will always have less AR than Beast.

Use that with 2k+ def eth duress and an OW belt and ber arreats/SS..probably as good as it gets.

these are all good tips mate, it depends on what tactics would you use, basicly what you(your friend) wanna do! dont forget player's skill > all!

i cant beat those exile/draculs smiters, but im pretty sure im more skilled then them :D

Well, so far I haven't beaten him. I'm still looking for a way to finance a decent Beast BA :uhhuh: Oh, Dahmer also has quite some ar/life sc's, that's a huge advantage vs my plain +20 life sc's ::cries::
