hey im new and dont really know much but i was todl to make an mf sorc for mephisto, and i was wondering which does more damage firewall,hydras or meteor thanks

Meteor will work best when killing meph... read this to learn how to use it most effectively.

No, Meteor is not good against meph because he has 75% Fire resis. The best is Blizzard with at least 2 synergies and mastery. Mastery lowers the resis by like 100+ so Meph will have negative cold resistance.

"Firewall,hydras or meteor" Then I guess Meteor is the best of the 3, but blizzard is the best skill for meph farming.

Something to think about with Firewall is that at higher skill levels (27-30) it costs a lot of mana to cast. If i remember correctly it is about 45 mana to cast and it only lasts for about 4 seconds. The damage isn't going to kill meph very quickly either. A meteorb, meteor and frozen orb, sorc is good for meph using the moat trick (search the forums for details) and meteor with fireball in the casting delay. If your new to the game I would suggest this build as the blizz or blizz/firewall sorc build takes a bit of getting used to and due to the high mana drain on the two spells you will need better equipment.

Also consider when using the moat trick to buy a wand with +2 to Lower resist on the switch.... That way you`ll take Mephisto`s resistance down with 37%. Makes a huge difference with meteors/fireballs... Only drawback is the repaircost, but you should have the gold coming in easy anyway....

well you cant use a +2 lower res wand but i think you ment a wand with lower res charges.

a blizz sorc is by far better than a meteorb or meteor, never tried firewall but it has lower dmg than meteor anyway so....

actually blizz doesnt use much mana at all since your casting it only every 4 seconds

If you intend to MF successfully then doing Mephisto isn't the best option. He can only drop limited gear - for best effect you need to run pindle and some tc87 areas.

I'm using fireball/meteor/static and I find its effective against meph. 75% fire res. is a bummer but you can get him to half life easily enough and then let your merc beat on him and unload a meteor and some fireballs.
