easiest build would probably be skelliemancers, since they dont need any good equip to kill at decent speed, and be safe at the same time. check out the guides in the necromancer forum. that helps ;)

off the top of my head, tarnhelm, gull dagger, rhyme shield, Ptopaz'ed helm or armor, magic rings and amulets with MF(or nagelring), goldwrap. Those are the low level ones. If you have more wealth/higher level you can start getting MF charms, tals armor w/PT, shako, war travellers.

remember to always conserve killing speed. If you can clear an area 5X faster with 200 MF than with 400 MF, thenits better to go with th 200 mf setup

Point on killing speed is very true... and with a skellimancer its easiest of all... get something with nice +skills on switch, raise your whole army, and let the mf do the talking from then on. This will keep your dmg on skellies nice, while still letting you have a hig mf... happy hunting! :xsmile:

If you're reading from the old strategy guide book, then all the info in there is really outdated. Many things have changed since its writing.

Skellies, if you've maxed RS and SM, and have a few +skills, and cast Amp. Dmg. on their enemies, are a force to be reckoned with, especially with CE thrown in for good measure. Be sure you have a might merc and a clay golem and you should be good to go. I used my skelemancer as my MFer for the first 3 months of the season. Starting MF gear included Nagels, 4 ptopaz Wire Fleece, 3 ptopaz demonhead, chancies, and a Gull Dagger. I later began to add better equipment to this, but this alone was enough to put me in the neighborhood of 300 MF.

from my experience, necros don't make very good mf characters, unless you get enigma or just want to do pindle runs. it takes too long to get to the bosses. sorcs are pretty easy to play in my opinion. and it's a lot faster to telly to meph than walk and wait while your minion kill a thousand little ankle biters along the way.

The pit is located in the tamoe highland, just outside of the outer cloister in act 1. Its mlvl 85 in hell.

it depends on what you are running. the necro can easily do pindle (nice to raise skels of the bat :)) then do the frozen highland duo, and then the pit. I do agree that the sorc with tele can run bosses a lot easier.

My necro does ok mfing in NM but hells another thing. Course im only lvl 77 and have been for some time do to my homework load. Neways, i have a 32 P nova, 8 Skellies (4 regulars and 4 mages), 15 revivied enemies, and my fire golem. this seems to work for me in NM but like said hell is another story..My kill speed is great with the amp damage cast the first time i see a boss and a lvl 22 Bonespirit. So i nova, then BS and keep my bone armor going while the minions hack away..

Luckily, my skellies didn't read those guides...

But I guess next time I visit my old pals hell-diablo or hell-baal they'll just take out a strat guide from their pockets, throw it at my skellies, and they will stop killing right away and become really weak and pretty much useless.

But then, maybe that's just because they don't have a lot of brain, so reading the strat guide takes all their energy?

Who said you have to mf bosses... I have some friends who simply go through hell with mf and quest and clear lvls and such and turn out with very nice items. The chances of the monsters dropping is lower than act bosses no doubt... but there are way more, they die faster, and it will stay much more entertaining I would say...

I run a Skellimancer to MF Hell Cows, which takes about 10 minutes to clear the entire level using gratuitous Corpse Explode. He rules in the Pit as well.

Lately I've been entertaining myself with new builds. I mostly mf just to pay for them and bosses are the fastest way for me.

I can understand that, though he is a begginer and I'm just saying as a cheap build it can be very effective.

true. my sorc was my first character after starting up again. i was able to get full tals from my nm and hell hell forges plus some pgems. but she's a little more challenging to build and play than a necro.
