Mac - d2 is dark!

I have played diablo 2 on a pc till now. I put it on my mac, and it does this weird thing where when it first starts, it is brite and I can see it well (and has a bit of a light bluish tint, not a bad one, it actually looks good) but then after about a second, the color changes to an orange...

I tried to do a screen shot to capture this, but I think it changes my display color settings, because they all coming out the same even though I can visually see it changing colors in the before and after shots.

Any other mac users find this problem/have a solution?

I find a WEIRD work around. After entering a game, you press esc, go to the video options, and nudge the contrast bar a bit, and it resets to the brighter colors. Not sure what is happening, but hopefully a resolution is found soon.
