Lvl 82 Trapsin - What skills now?

Lvl 82 Trapsin - What skills now?

Lvl 82 HC, SP, untwinked, dual claw (for the skills) Trapsin - 20 LS/DS/CBS/FB, 2 Fade, 1 CM/CBl/BoS/PH/CoS/MB. HF, Insight, oft-dying Merc.

My question - Where to drop the remaining skill points (2 skills to spare, and 2 coming up from A4Q2)? SWeb for the LS/FB/CBS synergy? I like this idea because it 1) Ups my main damage skills, and 2) could make me a better boss killer with CBS due to the +# bolts synergy to CBS. However, I don't think she'll ever really be a Boss killer, more suited to area running (but which?). Thus, I am thinking that, as much as I hate SW/SM, I should get the SM (not SW as it would override my traps) to keep the bad guys busy, and maybe help with the occasional LI/FI. Still, even with Town casting, I can only really get her to slvl 10 or so for the foreseeable future. So a third part of me says "pump" CBlock and Fade, for HC safety goodness.

Oh, +5/6 traps from "trap" switch, +5 shadow from that switch, +2 all on other gear.

Thanks in advance,
DudSpud

1. What resists do you currently have with fade?
2. What life do you have?
3. What % is your cblock?

Fire, Light: 61; Cold, Poison: -26 (still one socket in my armor, and a likely "lore" in my future).
2. What life do you have?
1368
3. What % is your cblock?
44, 49 in my "shadow" (CoS, MB) switch ("lore" drops both by 4).

Oh, and I have about 78 hard Str/Dex with 53 saved Stat pts.

Well, your life is decent for HC - maybe a bit higher.

I would get your chance to block a bit higher I would say.

And as for your cold res, you need to get that up in the positives somehow.

So -
A couple points in cblock
Some stat points in vita
(if you need for gear, add into str as well...)
If you cannot get your res up with gear, add into fade, but optimally you should hit it with gear rather than using skills, and then you can increase your damage.

Decent, maybe. Lower then I want, absolutely. I lost all my best life charms on a BlizzBaaller that I still can't bring myself to talk about.

Gut-feeling wise, this is my goal, but the +%/skill point is low, and I don't have many to spend. 40% vs 60% doesn't seem like a real difference, considering the points it would cost (ie, all I have left...).

Maybe in A5, but I have yet to feel the need. Of course, after I am handed my "Deeds" to a cold enchanted boss explosion, I'll feel differently.

Yeah, this is the conundrum - burn the points in Fade, only to find a Viper and a bunch of great Life/Res SC...

Currently I am looking for the Durance2 WP. I am res'ing the Merc more times than I care to admit (at p1, sadly) - no GP left to Gamble, now. I am loath to spend the points in the "safety" skills (ie Fade) but I think you may be right. Discretion is the better part of valor.

Thanks,

I think the reason I ended up quitting HC was my lack of discretion :). I used to play glass cannon zons on HC back in .09 - lost a 94, rebuilt, lost her at 92...pretty much after that I decided I just take too much risk for HC :). Although, my trapsin never died, she expired :).
