lvl 40 in an hour?

lvl 40 in an hour?

i played with a guy last night who said he'd just started a new character an hour earlier. it takes me a few days to get to lvl 20 usually. after that, it's clear sailing with cows then ball at 25. is it possible to lvl that fast.

Not on your own, but if you have the chance to play in an 8 player game the entire time, you can get pretty far. Tomb runs, then Cow runs and Baal runs, and you get to level 40 pretty fast.

Not quite my style of play, but I know that it is possible.

Fastest I've ever lvled to 40 was 1.26hrs. High lvl chanter with 8 player game. things you shouldn't be. Im normally lvl 20 within 20-30 min of playing and before I even hit act 2. Level up with a bow as many unique monsters as possible. When you hit 15 use Raven Claw. @ lvl 20 you can solo cow in 8 player games to mid 30's in no time, just make the portal to cows somewhere hidden in town while others are questing. Not a playing style I'd suggest to anyone who actually likes to play the game, but like Snowieken said it is possible.

Yeah, I don't like this style of playing because I don't see the need to rush. I like to play the game through every quest and (almost) every area. But apart from that, I certainly wouldn't recommend it when you are playing a certain character build for the first time. I like building up a character from scratch, having full control over its development and getting used to it at the same time. You can't possibly convince me that someone who made his level 40 in one hour has the necessary "feel" for his character.

i've quested through so many times that i get bored with it. i played it for a couple years when it first came out. got burned out on it. lately started playing again and like the challenge at the higher levels. but i definitely wouldn't recommend this style for a new player.

You can't get used to a character by levelling up from level 1 --- you are dealing with monsters in normal, you do not have your gear, and you are not using your endgame skills (usually). There some exceptions --- a Skelemancer will use his endgame skills from level 1 onwards, but the differences are still noteable --- killing normal-Diablo with a low level char is so much more difficult than killing hell-Diablo (or dclone) later on that it's completely useless in terms of "getting used" to playing the char.

I tend to level up stuff as quickly as possible, get into nightmare, and try out the char a bit there. It may not necessarily mean anything for later due to gear issues, but the skills behave like they will later on (except that they aren't as powerful yet, of course. But this is nightmare, not hell).

Couldn't agree with you more. A lot of my friends on bnet that do rush one another still don't get why i refuse to get rushed as i like to plod along at my own pace and familiarise myself with character in my own time.

In this way not only do you famailarise yourself with character but you tend to find the best way to utilising the class skilsl to suit *your style* of playing for that build.

Oh no, this turned into another rush vs play through thread.

I like doing both. Sometimes I'm in the mood to play all the quests sequentially, at other times I don't want to use any lower-level skills and therefore get rushed through about NM Baal to get a high enough level to use all the skills I want and then go back through the game doing the quests I missed, and at other times I don't want do the quests at all and just want to build up my PvP character as fast as possible.

To each his own.

Just thought I'd chime in to say I'm questing my faith/fort bowa, which is the first sc character I've quested in months. And just to not be completely OT: I dunno about 40 in an hour, but I knew a guy that was 61 and still had expiration timer. *shrugs*

my friend claimed that he could beat the whole game on single player untwinked in one whole day nonstop. but that was back in the day before 1.10 when things were slightly easier. :)

Sometimes I build a character and it is not exactly what I want but what I want is nearly the same as what I made so....I want to Rush the replacemnet char fast. I then use my Enchant sorc. to speed level my new character.

the problem with fast leveling is you don't always find a full game, survive a boss, get what you want, people to rush you, a game where people are actually doing what the game name suggests, internet perfectness. ect.
I mean, personally, it will take me some time to level up since I talk to other people and stuff and join interesting titles like Free Stuff since I lsot my old acc, don't have MF equipments, and my friends are off most of the time I am on.
Just a wondering thought, does anyone got some excess MF quipment that I can have for my assassin (I am only making asn and nec in this acc), I made a martial asn first and she stinks, so I am starting a trapasn right now. Or any good items you guys don't need that Trapasn might find useful, like Lidless, ect. Since I am so poor on items, the rariest I possibly have is probably Nat's Armor and that was on the Martial Asn.
I have never even seen Nat's Claw before, it was suppsoe to be legendary.
I am on East and plays NL since I don't like my char erased. Acc is same as name. Only plays on Fri, Sat, and Sun, and No School Days. And maybe some dyas when I sneak on.

Get a glitch rush, then chaos. You'll be lvl 80+ in bout' an hour or two.

cant be done in 2 hours.

It can be done in 5-5.5 hours though, if you have 7 other ppl helping u.

( at a minimum at low level u need a friend with an Enchant sorc to help u get all the way to level 26 )

And a friend to rush u in each of the 3 difficulties so as u can do baal runs.

Can get to level 40 in an hour, or just over.
Level 60 takes about another 1.5 hours - depending on luck with baal runs.
Level 80 takes about 3 hours, slow(er) leveling from 75
