lvl 30 pvp druid

you guys got me started with this lld stuff and now i'm gonna have to make a char and kick you !

ofcourse i'm gonna make a druid:rolleyes:

was thinking of an elementalist, fire based. Any sugestions, guides, help, stuff i need to know?

i am totaly new to this stuff

was thinking something like this:

spirit CS
mage fists/blood fists
pesant crown/nice pelt/nice circlet
rare boots with resist, frw but untill i get those was thinking of sander's or tearhaunch
viper armor
what shield?
soj/rare with fcr,life,mana...
2 elemental, 10 fcr, life.... amulet
rare belt with 24 FHR,mana, life, resist <-- i have this

I also found a nice 3% FRW, 12 mana sc. no tele so u guess FRW is nice. Will try to get some life/mana SCs.

What am i missing?.. any changes?... sugestions on skill placement?

thanks for helping.

PS: Rabbitz... i'm comming for you:lipsrsealed:

Nice to see more people starting lld :)
If i were making an fissure druid i would use:

Weapon: spirit sword
Shield: rhyme runeword or whitstans socketed with a nice jewel
Armor: Viper
Helm: try get a nice pelt, if you cant find one i have a 2+ ele, 20 fcr, 10 energy, 9 all res circlet you can have for free.
Boots: Cow king boots are nice if your going maxblock, or if you can get gosu rare boots use that instead.
Gloves: i would use magefist for the fcr and 1+ fire skill.
Belt: A nice rare belt with fhr/str/life/res/mana is a good choice.
Amu: 2+ ele, 10 fcr with other nice mods.
Rings: 2 sojs for more damage and mana.

For charms i would use a combination of fhr/mana, life/mana, life/res frw with other nice mods.

I cant really help you how to skill it since i dont know synergies and stuff in my head.
This is just an idea of the stuff you can use. But these should work out.

I like the way you think. Druids have shocking defense, but every little bit counts.

You could even add in a Grizzly if you feel like it, and prebuff him with a +2 summon ammy and maybe a Lore Pelt with +Dire Wolf and +Grizzly. That's if you're willing to divert those skill points from the Fire skills, it's only 5 points but 5 points can mean a lot at that level.

You ideally want a Pelt with +Armageddon, so you don't have to spend the 5-6 points to get it. That means more points to Fissure and it's synergies, which are also 'geddon synergies.

I'd probably go with the 5 points in Summons to get Grizzly, then 19 in Fissure, 7 in Volcano (Fissure synergy and alternate attack), 9 in Firestorm (Fissure synergy).

Prebuffing with a perfect +2 summon, +3 Grizzly, +3 Dire Wolf pelt, +2 ammy, Spirit, Viper and 2 SoJs will give you a 2925 life Grizzly before Oak, around 3500 life after Oak, that does 428-502 damage - which is not affected by the 1/6 PvP penalty.

With perfect items (i.e. +2 ele +3 Fissure +3 Armageddon +3 Volcano Pelt) you'll have roughly 1300 damage Fissure, 850-1000 damage Armageddon that lasts 48 seconds, and a ~250 Fire/85 Physical damage Volcano. That's without spending a single point in Armageddon, mind you.

Hope that gives you some idea of what you might expect.

not shure about armagedon...

i was thinking something more like:

1 raven, 1 spirit wolf, 1 oak sage <-- get 5 ravens, 5 wolfs from + skills

max volcano, max fissure <-- main attaks

1 cyclone armor <-- with all + skills this will probably absorb somewhere around 130 damage

rest in firestorm

this is just an ideea tough and since i haven't done this before i might be way way off

just tell me what you think.

looks good, i wouldnt waste the skills to get bear. if you can get it from a pelt all the better. stash prebuff is a pain when any hammerdin will take out your bear in no time flat.

i'd rethink the extra str for a grim. if you go with mages it's only 13 more stats to get grim but that 26 preoak life is just too much to warrant the extra def, imo. it doesnt sound like a whole lot but every little advantage you can get.

in lld frw is the equivalent of tele, essentially. as much as you can get without sacrificing too much life wise all the better. no circlet will top a good pelt but a 2ele/20fcr/30 frw circlet in your stash will be handy in some matchups.

volcano is too random imo to be useful and armageddon is a no range skill while fissure is a lot like blizzard in that you create your fields of damage that you want people to go through then you keep it between you and them, constantly on the move.

you might have a point there...

i was actualy thinking of a "vita" build.. so all in life.. nothing in the rest. Didn't bother to calculate what str i would get but ... i guess i should.

UH!.. that's all i can say. Need to get to 45 for mages... that's 30 to strenght:shocked:

wasn't gonna go for max block but as i said.. i have no clue how this is done.

do you think i should go max block or can i go base dex?

i will reach the 99% FHR breackpoint and i hope to get some nice FRW.. basicly stay away from melee chars is my tactic(or what that was my intention)

what do you think?

max block. <---period

like i said there are a lot of chargers, particularly at this level. there are even more hammerdins with an insight on switch to charge with.

and then there are bowazons...

but you play eu right? maybe there will be fewer. if you dont mind remaking then try out no block and see how it goes then remake if you keep losing to lvl 18 chargers.

Remember: A Bonesnap charger hurts, a lot. And they are hard to outrun. However, to charge through a fissure field isn't an all that pleasant experience either.

Guess it depends on what kind of opponents you plan to fight, but fissure is mainly an anti-melee build afaik.

I prefer 0 block on a fissure druid.

Chargers and bow zons are impossible regardless of your block. Melee is easy.

The only build that max block will make a difference against is WW barbs.

I would rather have more life and an extra +1 from Sigons shield.
