Lvl 30 Druid Dueler... WW or WB?

I'm making a lvl 30 druid dueler. Do you suggest I go WW using a 1pt Fury, or WB with a pumped Maul skill. I'll be losing damage and defense going WW, but I imagine the speed and AR will make up for that. Any thoughts?

I'll be using the following gear:

rare +1 circlet: 30% FRW, 3% life leach, +53 life, +40% Light Resist
    Rhyme Grim Shield
Armor: Pls Advise! ... 4 sock dmg armor/twitch/TalEth Runeword?
    Weapon: Pls Advise!

    Belt: 8/15/13 string
    Boots: Sanders
    Angelic Ring and Ammy
    Gloves: Bloodfist

If you don't mind, I'd love a skill breakdown/placement of WW/WB if you've got experience making this char.

    Many thanks!

Fury is far superior, both for hitting moving targets and for a good speed / dmg mix.

I don't have any experience with this, but if you can get a 4 frame Maul, I think that would work pretty well.

    OK, here's the deal.

Werebear maulers at lvl 30 are mana suckers. You'll need good dmg to mana since leech does not work.

Werewolf fury druids at lvl 30 do low damage comparatively, but do not suck mana and also you have the option to use feral rage too if you want.

For armors, either WW or WB, 4 socket max dmg jeweled armor is superior to anything else.
For weapon, you should make a 6 shaeled crowbill ideally for 4 frame maul, or 4 frame fury (I think that's the frame you hit)

Back in .09, I had a "godly" lvl 29 werebear packing 1xx-1765 dmg, 1214 life, 5k ar, etc...

He had something like 14 in maul, 4 in lyc and werebear, rest in heart of wolverine or so.

    More recently, I made a rabies/fury lvl 30 werewolf.

He had around 18 or so in poison creeper, 1 in prereqs and oak/how, 1 in fury, rest in rabies. He had like 3k poison damage and did great if the person he dueled didn't wear deaths hand.

His fury dmg was just below 1k dmg, using a +3 fury 45 max dmg helm.

For a pure fury lvl 30 WW, you'll want to have enough +skills to get 5 hits with your fury.

If possible, I would ditch that +1 helm in favor of a +3 fury druid helm, hopefully with max jewels.

    Skills I would do:

    1 fury
    1 prereqs
    5-10 WW
    1-5 Lyc
    Rest in HoW
Divide some pts into feral if you choose to use that.

It's a whole new ballgame.

Tons of fun. From collecting items/charms to actually dueling, I love it.

Also, it's kinda funny to go into random lld games and see people I've never even met before be like:

    "Are you the knarl?"

    And I'll say "yeah..."

And they'll say "Wow, I can't believe I'm actually meeting you, you are my hero."

I'm serious, that's actually happened before in those words more or less. I've even gone in East lld games and people I've never even heard of will know who I am and will ask me if my necro or *insert character here* is still godly or whatever.

why not try a lvl 30 shockbear, mine was lvl 33 back in 09 but i was using a suiscide branch.
you could use the ahh 50fcr dagger..... cant remember the name now.
    magefist gloves 20fcr
    viper magi 30fcr
crafted 5-10fcr ammy gets you to 105fcr for fastest shockwave
    2*sojs
    peasant crown
string or any other belt you have lying around
    and your rhyme shield
    also water walks are helpful

all socketed with either p saphire or p ruby depending on how much mana you need.
    skills.....
    max lycan
    1 in WB
    1 into shock wave
as many as possible into HoW for your bear

    thats about it
fill your inventory with enough fhr and then balance the life and mana charms.

he beats nearly every melee dueler out there
especially melee WB or WW even the good ones

enough for gear into str ( probably nothing)
enough for max dex with gear
all the rest into vit unless you need maybe an extra 30-50 into energy.

he'll end up with around 1.5-2k def, atleast 1600 life and 400 mana

great fun to duel with seeing as your an absolute tank

My friend made a lvl 29 shockbear in .09.

I beat him with my aforementioned 29 werebear, my 21 jabazon, my 27 smiter, my 30 necro, and I think I had another character that I beat him with too. The point is, there are ways to counter shockwave. Plus the minions are fragile and die pretty easily.

Also, any character with an uninteruptible attack = gg.

    shock bear.... lvl 29?
its all about playing style with a shock bear an a very hit an miss type character in duels but they work well if you have played them for long enough.
