LR for bone necro

lets consider lvl 81 necro, all synergies aside teeth maxed, 9 spare points
i did some math:
no + skill gear:
Bone spear with teeth: 1132-1203
Bone spear with LR and prereq, +41 % magic damage: 1425-1515
Bone spirit with teeth: 1768-1918
Bone spirit with LR : 2233-2423
+ 3 skill (wand + wskull):
Bone spear with teeth: 1380-1469
Bone spear with LR and prereq, +49 % magic damage: 1837-1954
Bone spirit with teeth: 2054-2220
Bone spirit with LR : 2741-2963

from what ive been playing around people dont use LR, why ?
ur party friendly, u get whole curse tree and benefit from skill points like from synergies, where's the catch ?
(yea, i'll be making one :) )

I find, that especially if one is levelling via endless CS runs, that any positive contribution one can make, is worth devoting one, or two hard skill points.

so, yes, for necro's, even bone necro's, I usually will have 1-3 hard skills in curses. AMP, Decrip and/or LR most typically

It doesnt affect magic dmg afaik. Imagine a hdin with conc + conviction + lr (if it actually worked)

I think one is talking about using it to help Socr doing CS runs not sure what the other guy is thinking.

tis exactly what I'm thinking. in much the same way, when I'm orbing, or blizzing, I like having a partied foher with a giant conviction aura, or a necro with curses (especially LR)

a partied member, that cant really contribute at all to a cs, is as annoying as finding a lvl 7x barbarian in a cs run, that still doesn't have BO, or even has a laughable one.

oh, decrip/amp are for if/when I use cows to get to a comfortable level to CS.

Yeah, what are those all about. I've seen several already. Are they just so very uninformed or do they know something we don't about a bad side to BO ?

I guess I should just be thankful that there are still noobs discovering the game, else it would have died on the vine so to speak.

I can only guess that this is their first char, or at least first classic char, cause in addition to them not having BO, they usually WW everything in the CS, spamming the screen with their IM induced deaths, and/or are begging for a "better weapon" - usually something socketed.

or, when they see some of my admitedly not very good gear (socketed priz din shield for example) they demand a trade, and mention the "nice gear they have"...

"I have a 63x def armor!!!11one". they see my fhr, +5x life, cr/fr 2x serpent skin, and call it trash cause it's "only 19x def" give or take.

well, it is written that it lowers resistance to magical attacks, and bone spells are magical attack, as well as hammers
if it doesn't work, oh well :innocent: another d2 inconsistency
