Lower Resist curse a must??

Lower Resist curse a must??

I'm a newer poison necro with 30 in all my poison skills. My nova does almost 3800 but I still have a very hard time killing in hell. Should I put some points into Lower Resist curse to help kill? Also any pointers for left over points and which merc to use would be helpful. Thanks.

Frankly I don't see how you made it this far without a point. Well, not without taking a long time. Just one will do though since the high diminishing returns.

A few thing to point out gear wise.

Trangs Gloves
Trangs Shield with 2 other pieces
Death Web
Bramble
Facet's

Trangs Gloves give +25% damage, to good to pass up. The shield with 2 other set pieces gives -25% res. Death Web can give alot of - res. Bramble give more +% damage. Facet's are just love.

The gloves and shield along with the belt is usually the best choice. Death's Web can be hard to find, and Bramble requires a HR to make.

As others said, one point in lower resist curse is a must because it'll increase your poison damage, and break poison immunity on a lot of monsters. You can use poison facets to enhance your damage further. A lot of items enhance poison damage as well (Bramble, Trang's gloves etc etc) so get them.

If you do not have a spare skill point to spend right now, you may not want to wait for the next level to use lower resist - buy a wand from Akara with lower resist charges :smiley:
