Low level insight?

Low level insight?

I have the runes collected for an insight, and I'd really like to use it on my low level (19) Sorc's merc. A couple questions:

1. If I put it on a lowish level weapon, can I upgrade the base weapon later by cubing? Or, should I just replace the weapon later on?

2. If the Sol has a high 20s level requirement, then my merc must be that level to equip the polearm correct?

1. You can only upgrade unique and rare items.

The only way to have insight before lvl 27 (sol rune req) is being a necromancer with an iron golem (level 24) There is no way to have insight at your level

Ok. Thanks for the replies.

I'll probably just make one for my merc when he's the right level and replace it later on then.
