Low Level Duel Tournement!!!!! East Sc L

Well I talkaed to happyasassin and he said it was ok if I started a Loe level Duel tournement.

We all know that the LLD aspect in Diablo 2 Lod has grown a lot.I enjoy LLD'ing and I know some of you do as well.I'll make this a classic tournement.

The Rules are when u reply post you account name so you can be added to the brackets.Also Vote on what Char level Req you would like for this tournement.Ill start this tournement at six people but I will host more Tournements if this one does not fail.:wink:

Choices are: Lvl 9,12,20,25,30,35.

Also we will need one judge just to walk around watch each duel and announce winner of the match

how many characters can i enter? judges are a bad idea. if people cant decide on who the winner is then it's just as bad as a pub duel. best 3 of 5, 5of7? single elimination? round robin? one night or over course of several days, when is it?

what other rules? restricted to blood moor? no running around to replenish? slow missles, prison, decrep, allowed or not?

Well I was going to update rules and such a bit later but...

1. one char only can be enterd
2.Will be 1v1,1v1,1v1 winner of each duel will advance on.Each Group of Duels get one practice and one final duel.
3.the Duelers are alound to pick the location but both must agree.
4.you can run around but not out of the vicinity you and your oponenet deicde.
5.Mana pots are aloud but no Rejuvs or Health pots.
6.Banned skills are Decrep and Bone Prison.
7.Char does not have to be twinked.Can be either or.

Also in the end if my mfing goes good there may be a LLD Char package that will go to the winner but no promises for now.

I am not sure when due date will be I will decide when we get six people enter.

sorry if i sounded a bit peeved. i just think that if you dont specify certain things up front some people may be less than thrilled with the results. i highly suggest taking out decrep if you wind up at lvl 30. if not then it'll kill any chance a bowazon, or wind druid (to name a couple) would have against a bone nec (not that it's an easy duel to begin with).

i'm definitely up for it, though i wont vote on a lvl *circusfreaks is my account for this and i can duel at 9, 18, and 30 so just keep me informed.

I think that i would be very interested in putting up a char for this, probably my pub killin fb sorcie, but i need to ask, AND THIS IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT.

Are hammerdins allowed to dysnc?
Are sorcies/ tele stick chars, allowed to teleport?
Is this going to be a walking/running strickly game?
What should be the stand on insight usage? I know that some hammerdins that use insight to rep their mana also tend to regain a chunk of life and when theyre dysncing with that on it tends to be a challenge to hit them while they replenish.

I vote on the lvl 30 aspect (mainly b.c thats what i have and anything lower than that gets to be a bit expensive to make tourney variable). Besides, the only real lvl 35 char i know of is a kicker, others usually are a lvl 37 eth yari baba and those guys are rare and mean lol...

One last thing, and this is backing cdm on this, for this type of dueling you need to be really defined on what is useable and what is considered to be BM for your particular tourney.

Well because 5 people voted Lvl 30.That is what it shall be.

seriously there's a lot of difference in gear particularly melee between 30 and 31.

the one's off the top of my head:
ias jewels (the biggest difference)
rockstopper
ik boots
skin of the flayed one (eth has high def)

if 35 was chosen i'm certain it'd be no problem to be 31, but if 30 is the level then 30 is the level. you have to draw the line somewhere or you'll have "well 50 is low"

Isn't the point of lld to squeeze out as much dmg/life as possible at a given level i.e. 30? The reason people go 31 etc is to get access to new and more powerful items.

31 and 35 are both not LLD.

They are excuses for people to make overpowered characters and destroy real LLDs.

I think that it should stay strictly 30 as well. If we already have 5 for 30, and as cdm has explained the gap between lvl 31+ and lvl 30 dueling, i think that is what we should just stick with.

If possible, id like to try to get an idea of the date and time for this lol, i know right off the bat that wednesday and thursday nights wouldnt work out too well for me since i have animation classes that go into the night there, lmk?

ultimately i dont think it'll matter too much to this tournament as i forsee it being mostly casters and even a lvl 31 melee wont be helped enough by the items i mentioned to get very far.

when you get into 35+though you open up a whole other realm of possible gears. particularly for necro getting 'white' and there's another level of melee options like guilume's face and black.

more people = better, but if you're going to open up 35 then i'll be tempted to retool my 42 bone nec for that level and be an *** with him :grin: .

My first tourney and every one is making it hard lol.THE FINAL CHAR LEVEL WILL BE 30.As for the date I am not sure yet but most I am thinking mid weekend.

i suggest once you get all this kinda stuff ironed out that if it's alright with the mods to start fresh with a new thread. i dont know why fed hasn't posted yet that he'd do it or cryP for that matter. also i'll let smitty know about it, he might be interrested.

were you wanting to get all this done in one game or maybe have a it take place over a couple nights time? if it's over a couple days then i bet there could be a few more than six participate.
