There are 3 things in your gear i see that IMO could be improved.

1. You might want to use a highlords instead of cats eye. however if you find you are short on enough R/W to catch casters then i can see it, remember though you can get this on charms. Highlord's Deadly strike is delicious, plus you still get 20IAS to boot! With people using enigma you need to make your hits count for a lot. Highlords shouldnt be too expensive now that everyone is ga-ga over runewords

2. the belt: Seeing as this is an anti caster build you wont need dmg reduction unless you plan to fight wind druids. Im thinking something along the lines of a Tgods. Some nice stats (str and vit) as well as some nice anti-lightning protection.

3. I would swap out the IK boots for some Gore riders. They still have good R/W and they have some deadly strike, crusing blow and open wounds in there as well. Same thing as with highlords, make whatever hit you get count. Again this shouldnt be THAT expensive.

Try the trade forums here, people are usually a lot more reasonable there than the people on bnet.

I wont lie to you, its not going to be an easy life fighting casters with a throw barb (its hard to fight some casters WITH another caster!), so i wish you good luck

Thrower Update

First, Thank you for your reccomendations...I will most likely switch to the gores alng with dracs when i reach a sufficient level for the OW to be worthwhille. Highlords is an excelent ammy option, but i am curently built to the 25 dex on cats eye, so that switch may come later, depending upon what my life looks like. Here is a breif update, current gear, and stats:

So far, i have done quite well public dueling vs. sorcs, windies, weak hammerdins, bowazons, and Lit Zons. This is primarily using hit-and-run tactics, utilizing the increadible RW speed that i have achieved. I commonly loose several duels vs a given well played sorc or windie, before determining a viable strategy for them. Most ppl can be predicted, and that is the key to victory. High-FCR casters are sill extremely difficult, and are usually beaten by patient, defensive tactics.

Other:
As this char is "str glitched", equipping all its gear using str charms, it both looks naked, and throws invisable weapons. It also, for some reason, "blinks" when double-throwing. I never intended this to happen, and it causes many accusations of me being "hacked", which is quite annoying. Since i do not remove any charms after equipping all my gear, I feel that this is perfectly legit. Also, I have been accused of being AA  I dont even use mh, so this is clearly not the case

in order for this build to be effective u need some ias and some fast weapons.
i suggest eth warshrike knive for primary weapon(right hand), and a fast javelin(winged harpoon, hyperion javelin) , or eth lacerator on left hand. Also depending on the ias breakpoints u want to reach, u might need to put ias jool on areats, and maybe wear ias gloves (or ik glove+boots, very nice imo) . Also if needed u can exchange lionheart with duriels shell + ias jool.

Flying axes and glaves r very slow for the build which i think is effective if it shoots at 4.5 or 4 fpa

For the armor part, i think u probably will need a um guardian angel to against elementalist. For wind druid or bone necro, IMO, use crow caw. The extra 15ias and 15fhr would, along with +15dex and 35ow! Very nice! If u are rich enough, then jeweler 4x ed/ias armor of whale will be the best.

As for the weapon, you may want to use double lacerator or a lacerator with warshirke for the ds and ias.

Thank you both for your advice...i have been doing some testing on speed...while i agree that more speed would be key, i am waiting to find good rares with the desired IAS mods and base type, as i find WS to be lacking in damage, and DS is nerfed for ranged attackers. My current Gear IAS is at 55%, with an average weapon speed of -20 (lacerators are 30% IAS on -10 base, Pain Scratch are 20 base, no IAS). I would approximate my attack speed at 5 frames, but this is just a visual approximation
Tactically, i differ from the max IAS build, using more hit and run tactics. 2-4 successfull hits kills almost all casters with current setup, with many poorly played/built ones getting 1-hit. The Amp from lacerators followed up with the 8k hit from the glaves works nicely. With reguards to armor selection, the lionheart is set, as I am built to the stats on it (thus the life that i have). While crow caw and GA both have nice mods, I prefer the lionheart. The only replacement i would consider would be 60IAS/60 Res jewelers X of the titan/whale. These would obviously be the best option, but are currently out of my budgit.
As to effectiveness, this build works well when played as the relatively low attack speed requires. Defensive/hit and run play suit it well, and are quite effective. With more levels, I will switch over to gores/dracs, for 80% OW, and see increased benefits given my current tactical approach. Again, I appreciate and consider all advice from this forum, and its knowlegeable and friendly members.
