lot's of questions and a long read about uber-strategy
Hi ppl!
I have some questions regarding the uber quests.
I do the quest’s solely or together with my gf.
Since she has a better pc, we are always with 2, it’s a bit do dangerous to get kicked out of the game when doing soloruns.
We use a fana zealot/smiter (me) and a FO/CL tal sorc (gf)
The sorc provides cover against the minions and the smiter kills the ubers really fast.
Our big problem is usually Isual.
Those nasty oblivion knights cast IM on me. I barely dare to attack there making it so that my gf becomes the killer for all the minions, her sorc is good, but we slow down a lot and we need to swallow to much big purple’s.
Our solution is simple:
My gf is making a frenzy barb with one point in berserk and howl.
Howl to handle the minions (to replace the tal sorc) and berserk for more killing power against those IM-casters.
We will also get a better BO because the Bo from my zealot isn’t that great because of to less +skills on his equipment (not really needed for a fana zealot).
For solving my zealot’s problems I’m thinking of Passion runeword.
What about that?
Should it solve our problems?
Now my questions:
1. Is it viable? I think so because both chars should be able to do tristram on there own.
2. berserk doesn’t work with LL because of the magic damage, does it work with life tap? – If it doesn’t, can anyone tell me if this is the right way to go because we will do most of the Izual realm with berserk and finish izual with smite/frenzy (that last thing will work great, but getting there?)
3. What is the best one handed weapon for passion runeword so my zealot has enough damage to actually kill.
4. Do I need extra IAS for the berserk skill or do I have enough with my fana aura?
5. Does the fana aura increases berserk damage? I think so, meaning my gf frenzier will do a lot of berserk damage because of the synergies
6. Does the synergies work with berserk from the passion runeword? This way my gf can spare 3 points or so for getting to Berserk.
7. if we use passion for the barb, we should put it on switch, witch weapon is best for a barb? A big two hander in one hand and stormshield? Spirit?
8. If we don’t use passion on the barb, should we put some special weapon on switch for berserk?
9. The few times I used howl, it was low level and only a few monster ran away and only early in the game, like blood moor, a bit farther monsters seemed immune. How come? Do I need more points? how much? or just a higher level char? How high does a barb need to be to scare of the uber 3 minions? how does howl exactly work?
I’m out of questions for the moment, I do hope someone can answer them.
