Looking to make pvp ranger need ideas!!

i recently bought a widowmaker 192%ed 3 to ga i'm looking for ideas on build and equip this i nl uswest btw

Depends on whether he's going for elemental or fanat...

If he's going for pure elemental (shock/storm ranger, I believe... using holy shock and holy freeze), then it wouldn't really matter if it was up'ed... in fact, it'd probably be a waste of runes. But he's nonladder, anyway...

umm, a widowmaker is a ward bow, which means its already elite. You can't up those. As far as a ranger, If you go as a fanat, then you will probably want to Lo it for the deadly, then wear highlords to cap you deadly strike and then wear travs for the added damage. However, make your ranger as you see fit. There are many different ways and most are viable.

Isn't widowmaker ladder only or has that changed since I've been gone. Making the character as you see fit is fine, but using holy freeze has a lot of benefits. Basically melee dudes won't get to close to you, and youll have to deal with resists instead of damage reduce. Which brings me to my next point, go buy a lower resist wand and use it and winning is only 4 or 5 arrows away!

Widowmaker is ladder only, however ladder seaon 1 merged with nonladder not too long ago... so now nonladder has access to whatever ladder items season 1 players brought down.

My storm ranger (holy freeze/shock) works great in pvp but only because his loaded up on OW etc the elemental dmg really isnt to much in pvp even with all the +skills i'v got on him people just have to much stacked res incase a sorc comes along lol, but hey his fun as hell :) suppose you could use a lower res wand though its still gonna take more then 4-5 arrows to kill some ;)

I did this as an alt last season

I used widowmaker as the alt weapon for my zealot last season to induce guys to come at me. It is fun when they run from your zealot and all of a sudden your GA are tracking their asses. Open wounds sounds like a good way 2 go.....so save up for those draculs..

I would throw in a enigma with the widowmaker. That way no one will get close to you EVER. I all ways liked the ideal of having a LO rune in the bow so that way you could get a lot more damage being done.
