Looking for a rusher build

Hey guys,

I just started playing hardcore and I'm looking for a build that would be allow the paladin to do rushes with ease (NM and Hell). What would be my best bet?

Without a doubt a hammerdin. Even with mediocre gear, as long as you have an enigma, you'll do fine.

that is going to be your biggest problem... you will never know when you hit a mana burner... and when you do.. gg

Your best bet WOULD be a hammderdin, but i wouldnt say you're safe with mediocore gear... you might wanna make sure your a really high level before trying to rush

One key factor, Teleport is almost required for fast rushes, so unless you have easy access to an Enigma, then you are stuck with a Sorc.

If you do have one, which may not be likely, even moreso if you are on ladder, a Hammerdin is your best bet like everyone else said. If you can get an Enigma, you should be able to afford the other basic gear, and if you are going to be rushing through, I would highly recommend some way of getting BO.

I just started a hammerdin actually, with my only real good item being the "Spirit" runeword I made out of a 4 socketed crystal sword. Everything else on him is literally crap, but he was able to tank through acts 1-2 nm at level 48 very easily. So I can only imagine that if you had really good gear it would be even easier. The only hard part was the damn maggot lair.

Without good gear it's easiest to build 2 characters.

If you have 2 keys, build a BO barb, but this isn't needed.
Blizz or Orb sorc for A1-3.
Hammerdin, javazon, trapper, or necro for A4. Might use this one for Trav as well. It is possible to do this with a sorc, even a single element one, but without gear it's really slow with cold, and without gear hybrids are slow everywhere else.
For ancients, I think the sorc is easiest so long as you have a merc that can handle a CI one. Just keep rerolling till none are cursed. If you don't have a merc that can stay alive for the duration of the fight the hammerdin is probably the best bet, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Smiters own them, but you do need a bit of gear on it, and that slows you down from getting going in the first place.

The only thing I really know anything about in hardcore Dii playing is that a skellymancer is the optimum character to play against the ancients. Go in with 9-10 skeletons, a couple of mages and a few revives; hit Decrepify and watch. I rarely even use a pot.

ya, prior to my hammerdin i would have said skellymancer hands down .. but idk now im loving this character

I never found one char to be the best rusher throughout. A fast teleporting sorc like Socialism's Orb TK Blind Teleport build is perfect for super fast norm and NM rushing. I then use a combination of something safer for Hell like a bowazon with multishot and knockback for clearing and Slow missile and then switch to a barb with dwarfstar, raven, and Tgods for Dury and Diablo killing. It might seem a bit complicated, but I use to do thousands of Rushes back in the hey day of GAT and never lost any of those 3 chars.

A holy shock auradin is the easiest normal rusher as all you have to do is walk and everything will die. For NM you could wear dual dreams and run conviction aura.

Best statement ever! With enigma this build is godly!
