LLD on Welfare

I've tried searching for this topic, but due to the annoying searching engine, the term "LLD" can't ever be used.

Anyway, I am trying to come up with an idea of an LLD (level 12-20) char that doesn't make use of tons of perf +max dmg jewels and charms.

I know a lot of people like paladins, but personally, I hate them, so even though charge/might is good, I would like to avoid any paladins.

I also prefer to have melee chars, someone who can stand up to punishment and dish out as well.

So far, my ideas are:

1- Level 12 Kicker with Sig boots, gloves, belt, helm, shield, and angelic armor/2xrings/amulet. I've made one before, and her damage and life was decent. Unfortunately, she expired, and the new one I made doesn't seem to be as good as I remembered.

2- Level 18 Bowazon with Cleglaw gloves and 1 pt GA. This one will require +max jewels to be effective, I think.

3- Level ?? Wolf druid using feral rage. The trouble here is coming up with a good weapon...

Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, what are good damage and life ranges for LLD?
