Blizzard has just announced that

- In order to discourage massive amounts of statistical analysis to arise in such a short amount of time as with Diablo 2, we've decided to implement a sort of "bug" in the .exe
- This "bug" works such that if Diablo III and Excel are running at the same time, then Diablo III will automatically shut down.

Ahhhhh crap. Now I have to write everything down on paper napkins...

Interesting if true. But there are still any number of ways to get around that.

Not even considering all the ways this could be circumvent, here's a list for Blizzard.

- Simple Spreadsheet
- ZCubes
- Resolver One
Et cetera, ad nausea...

Anyways, this thread is bogus. :)

Considering there are -free- statistical packages way better than excel (R, anyone?), this news seems to be bogus.

Who uses excel for statistical analysis anyway :/
