Lightning Sorc and other Sorc

Im doing a Lightning Sorc atm, she's kinda good now BUT i suppose in hell i'll get a hell of a problem aight?
i mean skills that i want to max for maximum dmg on Lightning/Chain Lightning:
Lightning
Chain Lightning
Charged Bolt
Nova
Lightning Mastery

this would be the perfect Lightning/Chain Lightninng Sorc

BUT,

With hell's all Resistances on the monsters i will have a hard time... So what shall i do? I dont Duel that much so u know...
1. Go on as nothing had happend
2. Dont build the perfect lightning sorc and save some points for fire or ice skills that dont need that much preq. like blizzard / fire ball etc.

Not only lightning sorcs may get the same problem i mean fire or ice sorc must have the same...

if you go pure lightning, you will be able to dish out a lot more damage with your lightning, pretty much needed in hell if you use mediocre equip (like I do)
So instead of using multiple elements just make sure your merc can take care of the lightning immunes, I myself use a might merc, he uses corpsemourn, stealskull and some unique elite spear (that's not even mentioned on the trade value forum), very cheap and even with this he's capable of killing all my lightning immunes for me in hell.

If you want to go the route of the pure lightning sorc then go ahead, but if you want a old arounder something like the CL/FO sorc might be an idea (see the guides for more details).

But if you want to stay with what you have now then your merc will be very important. I had a pure light sorc once and yes, she faced some problems in hell but i got a good defiance merc and gave him some good equip and we survived. Always remember static to give your merc a head start.

ok heres what i got a pure lit sorc in hell and i have no problems at all it's all in the merc and his set up

my set up is full tal's ptop helm and armor +2 lit master orb os (still lookinf for a lit faucet ) lidless with lit faucet in it
perfect chancies traves and for ring's i got a bk and a soj
inventory consists of a med anni no skill charms a pile of 11/mod resist sc's one 15 ra gc
my skills are as follows
20 lit
20 charged
20 cb
20 mastery
17 in nova so far
1 in warmth
1 in frozen armor
and a few in t-storm
oh yah 1 in static
i do an average of 5-14k dmg with litning (kills meph fast )

and countess in one hit

my merc takes all lit imune monsters so i do good in hell
my res is 75/75/75/69 in hell

if you build her right she will kick a$$ in hell no prob

Here's the thing though, do you think you'd be doing as well if you removed one synergy and put it into frozen orb? If you're totally dominating all non LI's, then doing the FO route would speed things up, right?

Pity that since your lightning immunes are you problem, that static wont affect them.

I made a PvP Lite Sorc, she does around 45k Lightning Damage, has 2.7k life .. I can solo almost all of Hell with her, even if she was designed for PvP ..

With Mf gear, I can get a 33k Lightning Damage, 12k Chain Lightning Damage. For the Lightning Immunes, I rely completely on my merc. She's a A1 Cold Arrow Merc. She uses a WF and a ED/IAS/Resists Armor and Giant Skull with ED/IAS/Resists.

Those are some impressive damage numbers. What level's your lightning at? And is that max or avg dmg?

DaMn you do 45k?

My 83 sorc does 35... I guess if I add facets instead of um in everything / lidless instead of ss / good griffs instead of shako / couple levels more to finally max my one last synergy left CL.............. I can get there....

well newayz u must do some great lightnings

P.S. I thought COH would be better but obviously your wearing ormus because of difference in levels of lightning and L mastery, I had a 13% lite 3 lightning ormus but I just traded and now wearing a COH... which would be better??

You can always replace this with a Powered Amulet of the Magus or an Archangel's Amulet of the Magus ...
