Lightning Javazon Equipment Questions

I would appreciate any help. This is my first javazon and I have a pretty good idea of skills from the various GREAT guides, but I am having trouble deciding equip:

I am thinking of making a lightning javazon with either a faith grand matron bow on switch or a good spear. Couple of questions....

I will be using

Helm: Shako or Griffon's?
Belt: T-god
Armor: COH
Shield: Stormshield? Spirit? Sanctuary?
--should I go DR? res all?
Amulet: Mara's 27Res
Ring: 249/20 Ravenfrost
Ring2: soj? BK? Manald?
Boots: Aldur's?( for fire resist?) or what else?
Gloves: ???????
Charms: Jav/Spear GC, Annihilus, res sc(if needed)
Weapon1: Eth upped Titans 9LL
Weapon2: Faith GMB? or Spear? what spear?

Merc: Holy Freeze
Weapon: Infinity Polearm
Armor: ?? Duriel's Shell?
Helm: Tal Rasha's?

Questions:
1. If I use "Infinity" Polearm will the -50 enemy Lightning res apply all the time? Combined with my Griffon's(socketed with -5/5), do they stack? combine?

2. Would merc's -enemy res combine with my -enemy res? How does that work? cause if they combine, I would try to get infinity polearm for my merc. I might even use rainbow facets on him.

3. What should I do in terms of shield?
-Stormshield would be nice for the DR, but I would be lacking on the res, especially poison.
-Spirit, I would have +2 skills and full resists(with aldur's boots). Also, FHR and mana. The only thing is I am worried about Blocking Rate.
- Sanctuary would give me tons of res, but not much else(other than dex)

Yes, but a polearm isn't a spear, so you can't use your lightning skills with Infinity equipped.

That won't work - the -enemy resistance is 'personal' for the one wearing the equipment.

I always like Stormshield best when I need to get in melee range with anyone.

For your switch weapon, I would think of something to deal with lightning immunes - Faith seems like a good choice with a few points in Strafe or MS, which could also help you when you're mana dry.

I guees this is a LF Java...so u must have maxed the synergies as well especially charged strike!

This is what i use on my LF JAVA
Helm: Griffon's socketed tih 5/5 light jewel
Belt: T-god
Armor: COH Dusk
Shield: Spirit
Amulet: Crafted amulet, 2 ama, manaleech, life, res
Ring: Ravenfrost
Ring2: Manald (could switch to another ring like BK or SOJ)
Boots: Aldur's (good boots imo, frw, life, ubber fire res, no repair cost) they do the job for me
Gloves: Rare gloves 2 javaskills, 20 ias, res, dex + minor mods
Charms: Jav/Spear GC, Annihilus, res, frw, life charms
Weapon 1: upped eth titans
Weapon 2: Norm titans non upped
Shield 2: Lidless with P diamond (could use another spirit here too)

Merc: Holy Freeze
Weapon: Infinity Polearm
Armor: Eth Stone
Helm: Eth Gaze

1. - 50 enemy res is only applying to your merc not yourself! So it doesn stack!
2. No it doesnt! Adding facets to merc help only his lightning damage i think and not yours!
3. Spirit is good! I use spirit! If u have a strong merc, strong valk then u are set imo!

IMHO Shako with a facet is better then griffons, i know everyone else will disagree, but +2 skills/+100Life/Mana and 10% DR is more useful to me then all that +dmg/-res. As a javazon you are already pumping out insane damage, and i just see survivability as more important. Sides, mucho cheapioriole.

If u run cows with Gryphons is much better IMO! Besides if u have a strong merc (with the right equipment) and strong valk you will survive and tras everything! Besides drinking life, mana and rejuvs pots aint shamefull!

Another option to Gryphons and as you suggest Shako, might be Valkyries Wing too!

Has anyone tried Phoenix as shield for Javazon? It gives you damage boost and Redemption aura = teh end of mana problems .

Hmmmmm....interesting....maybe i should try this But loose on res + skills compared to Spirit!

I'd recommend upped titans,LoH, spirit shield and ethereal treks as an alternative with SS and a nasty melee javelin on switch.
